21st Century Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 so Voldermort next then? Or this is what Steve McClaren's sink currently looks like.
ScouseFox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Amazing. Did they really expect anything other than to be really fúcking shit with him in charge?
Wycombe Fox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 From Wikipedia On 19th March 2013 he was sacked because the owners dont really know what they are doing
Kitchandro Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 From Wikipedia The owners then made the chiken that made an appearance in the 1-1 draw against Burnley the manager
Corky Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 I don't understand where his reputation as one England's brightest young coaches comes from. His record at Portsmouth was obviously hampered by their situation but he had a nightmare at Blackpool who were pretty high under Holloway & then he's continued Blackburn's nosedive. However he was only taking them down, Venky are a total joke but they obviously don't want to do a Manderic and regret not sacking the manager taking you down Probably the win percentages of 25 at Portsmouth, 16 at Blackpool and 26 at Blackburn, and a career win percentage of 24.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 They were 3rd with 2pts per game when he was sacked, 2pts off Brighton in first. Dont mean to quibble but didnt Kean leave of his own accord? I bet he is laughing now after the amount of stick he took there.
Cruss5 Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Hopefully our fans look at our situation and realise that there is always somebody worse off than yourself!!
cc_star Posted 19 March 2013 Author Posted 19 March 2013 Probably the win percentages of 25 at Portsmouth, 16 at Blackpool and 26 at Blackburn, and a career win percentage of 24. Staggering why he's well though of then - Pearson's career win percentage is 41% by comparison.
goose2010 Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Blackburn have sacked more managers in 8 months than Man Utd have in 41 years.
Fox92 Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Ridiculous. Never liked Blackburn, but they are in such as mess. Should never have got rid of Big Sam.
Walker Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Sad thing is, some of our fans would probably condone doing this every couple of months at Leicester. They needed stability yet they've gone through three managers this year, incredible.
kingfox Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Someone should just make odds on what Appleton does next. Reckon he could have a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
MC Prussian Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 At least there's always a club that manages to lift my mood when things look bleak for Leicester City FC. Oh dear. Blackburn - you're an embarrassment to the league.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Makes me laugh how any time a manager anywhere gets the sack people are all falling over themselves to say it's a joke without having the first clue how good bad or indifferent they actually were at their job. Just another one of those fashionable football things to say I suppose

Just another one of those fashionable football things to say I suppose If you own a midtable football club and replace the managers every couple of months because they haven't turned said shit club around then yeh you are a joke. Especially if said managers are mediocre and/or unproven.
Ozwin Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 This is amazing. I didn't think they'd have the balls to do it again. Fair play.

Especially if said managers are mediocre and/or unproven. Not really. If you give someone a job in good faith and then they turn up and they're crap at it you get rid surely?
Kitchandro Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Not really. If you give someone a job in good faith and then they turn up and they're crap at it you get rid surely? Why would they give Michael Appleton a job in good faith? Haven't they got more sense than that? If you think a manager who has done nothing is going to turn you around in a couple of months you're an idiot. Either stick with him for longer or don't appoint him in the first place.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Will this disrupt our appointment of Adkins? How would it? We're certainly not after Appleton. And we're not going to sack Pearson until they've got someone lined up.

If you think a manager who has done nothing is going to turn you around in a couple of months you're an idiot. Either stick with him for longer or don't appoint him in the first place. That's the thing. Because they aren't football people they must be pretty much giving the job to whoever talks the best talk in an interview. Their problem isn't that they keep sacking managers. The ones they have had have been crap and deserved to be fired. The problem is that they know bugger all about football and keep appointing the wrong people. In a way you have to give them at least some credit for being prepared to admit when they have made a mistake, despite knowing they will be crucified in the media each and every time.
