I do wonder how many of those 1 million soldiers would surrender the moment they had the chance to get away from North Korea.

I'm sure many would love to surrender and live in SK after any war, but many are completely indoctrinated. All NK units have political commissars embedded, these guys sit behind the front line shock troops and shoot those that do hurl themselves on to the barbed wire. There are also military police that will go after your family if you don't do the great Leaders bidding.

you unfortunately are most likely correct.

You have also got to be aware of the invisible mobile phones...........not sure if its been mentioned or you ave heard the story but during the World Cup ( which NK won according to them)the secret of their success was that Kim Jong uns father was coaching through an invisible mobile phone that he had invented himself!Kim Kim Jong ( mentally ) il,was one clever bloke.

I had a dream about this last night.

Me and my whole family were in America, the North Koreans dropped a bomb just outside our window (we were in a very tall building).

We were all bricking it and then for some reason Jimi Hendrix came on and we all starting dancing.

Putting my Moosehat on for a few seconds, I think that dream means you're gay. The bomb literally represents a bombshell (your homosexuality) that you're subconciously distracting yourself from telling your family about... also you seem to be attacted to dead black men.

and which nations have the US turned to rubble with nuclear weapons exactly? Any pre-emptive strikes? I can only think of one or two CITIES that have been hit in retaliation..

You can only think of one or two cities in 60 years? In retaliation? Which history books do you read?!

They have turned many cities and towns to rubble (whether they're using nukes or not makes no difference), and have also contributed to the subjugation of numerous nations in the 50 or 60 years I mentioned. That trend hasn't let up in recent years and the hard evidence is all out there in the open, so it's no secret.

I wasn't having a pop at the US as a whole. All I was trying to say was; if the US is justified in attacking NK because of a pretty laughable threat, then if we take into consideration the actual destruction that running US administrations have brought down on others, along with threats they've been making themselves, then other countries are well in their rights to say the same thing about the 'legality' of attacking the US.

Can they realisticly do it? I very much doubt it... the longest range of missle they currently have is of 4000km which can just about touch Alaska... If any nation is stupid enough to try however it would be NK. They believe so much of their own propoganda and hype they seem to think they are untouchable.

I don't think it even matters if NK has a missile capable of reaching US shores or not (unless defences are 'stood down' for the day as on other occasions). I'm pretty certain the US has the capability to take out any missile that has to travel all the way over the pacific - unless I'm dreaming up those defences and the US is actually alot more vulnerable than I thought.

I'm not sure NK leaders believe the propaganda and hype tbh. They're very likely well aware of the wrath that would be unleashed on them if they ever tried to attack the US. I think that people in the West are the ones guilty of believing the hype and propaganda more than anyone. After the 'babies from incubators' and 'WMD' lies, to name a couple, it's probably true that much of what we hear about NK is propaganda too (but I'm not saying that their regime are a good bunch - far from it).

You think North Korea will suddenly get the shakes Empteh?

(cba getting a picture of a harp, but lets just pretend I could)

I know you're likely taking the p*&$, but stranger things have happened! Tbh I'd totally forgotten about HAARP and all that as I've not been reading or watching any of that stuff about the 'weather tinkering etc' conspiracy for a good while now.

The most likely thing to happen, if anything, will be old fashioned military action.

Bloody 'ell mate, are people abusing you on this or something? Not taking the p"&$, just curious in these matters and over time youve professed to be knowlegable on matters

Anyway, interestingly enough since my last post there has been a 6.2 quake near the N.Korean/Russian boarder

Make of it what you will crackpot :P:ph34r:

That's some coincidence. Sure you're not involved? :D

I used to check that site every day not so long ago and would have been all over that news! I'm not saying that earthquake wasn't natural, but man-made is possible and easily achievable nowadays. I'll have a look for this clip about how HAARP can create earthquakes. It's by some guy who used to work in seismology with equipment that searches for oil traps by sending shock waves through rock layers. His job was to look at the data they got from the waves when they bounce back to the surface I think. He explains the effects of the HAARP technology and how it is similar to what he used to use, but is thousands more times powerful.

Hehe, I did drop a large turd in their general direction at arounf that time yesterday; so ya never know ;)

As you were saying about RT being decent with information, they seem like a down to earth and a fairly well thought out broadcaster but the mere fact they are Russian and never mention anything bad about Russia makes me question their motives and agenda, but its still a good place to get some fairly individual shows which occasionally have quite alot to learn about from.

From what Ive seen about Haarp it does sound a very possible weapon, with capabilities the average person wouldnt usually comprehend, my facination and suspicion was raised with the Haiti disaster and the immediate effects, but something that puts me off even going into the matter in depth is shown by the responces in the comments section of that article I put up; I dont think the people that go on and on about Haarp really seem like the types who are often right about anything

Just found this video, North Korean propaganda on what life is like in the US:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CJoQOQHQ8oA

Undoubtedly the most shocking bit of lying I have ever heard from a political broadcast. You'd think it impossible to suggest that life is worse in America than it is in North Korea but that's exactly what they've done.

lol  lol  lol

(surely that's not real!)

I found it hilarious!

'There houses blow down very easily'

I'm struggling to believe it too. I wonder if the translator has made it up a bit, but then again you wouldn't put it past them come out with shit like that.

The bit about "Parts of America look like other countries" and they had a film outside Gare Du Nord (Paris), was just too stupid to be real. If they thought their people were stupid enough to be taken in by the other stuff, then why worry that they might recognise somewhere in France?

I've lived there, and found it to a very accurate snapshot of the united States. Except the representative from Oregon. I believe he is from Washington state.

 Not quite sure if you're being serious so I'll reply to that as if you are, if you weren't then please ignore.

I know there is a big poverty problem in the US and I don't pretend to think it's some wealthy haven where everyone is rich but that video claims the majority of people eat snow for a living. No offence but it is blatantly not true and I struggle to see how someone who's actually lived there could think otherwise.

It paints the picture that the US is a murderous and savage society consumed by absolute poverty and totally incapable of feeding its own citizens - That is not correct. While you might be right to say there are some parts that are accurate surely you must admit that the message is ridiculously exaggerated?

It's true that communist propaganda likes to exaggerate the inequalities of capitalism, the Soviet Union used American poverty and racism to convince the Soviets that they were better off that side of the iron curtain, but that translation seems like total arse gravy.

Just another day Oop North. Not a great deal to worry about in terms of the wider picture. We'll probably never know the real reason he got the chop but it does sound very much like internal power struggle to me, with Politburo-style results.

But on the same note the language used in the broadcasts they put out is utterly hilarious.

"Worse than a dog", indeed.

I remember that the Chinese used to come out with such rhetoric in pre-capitalist days: "running dog of capitalism" etc.

Do you ever meet South Koreans who are in touch with relations/friends in the North?

I suppose that it must be rare now, after all this time, with Korea having been divided for much longer than Germany now. You'd have to be a pensioner to have grown up in the same country as someone from the other side of the 38th parallel....

Send the odd dispatch about life in Korea, mate. I hope to travel a fair bit more before I'm forgotten ash, but don't imagine that I'll ever be in Korea.
