Jaspa Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 They certainly can't do any worse than they have recently, they're fvcking terrible. Sacking him after losing to ManU is abit crap though
leicesterisme Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Sacking him after losing to ManU is abit crap though True, I don't get that but I guess they'd been talking to Di Canio in the week and were now ready for him to be appointed as soon as they sacked O'Neil.
marko Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 The Di Canio affect has already kicked in - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-21991812
AjcW Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 "David Miliband has resigned as Sunderland Vice Chairman following the appointment of Paulo Di Canio" Funnies Headline i've read in a long time!
Carl the Llama Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Talk about rubbing salt in O'Neill's wound. Sacked after a loss to the league leaders and replaced by an inexperienced fascist...
Corky Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 It's a good job we're getting Di Matteo, we could've had Paolo.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Fair play to Miliband for standing by his principles.
foxesfan1989 Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 David Miliband has my respect. Wish he was Labour Leader instead of Ed.
Tielemans63 Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Must've been virtually a done deal before Sunderland's game with Utd. Can't see that working out for any party tbh.
marko Posted 31 March 2013 Posted 31 March 2013 Must've been virtually a done deal before Sunderland's game with Utd. Can't see that working out for any party tbh. Apart from the Newcastle fans as they laugh when Sunderland go down.
Webbo Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 Fair play to Miliband for standing by his principles. The fact that he's moving to America for a very lucrative job has nothing to do with it then?
Finnegan Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 The fact that he's moving to America for a very lucrative job has nothing to do with it then? I doubt being a board member requires him to be there much. Hell, there are owners that are rarely at their clubs.
purpleronnie Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 The fact that he's moving to America for a very lucrative job has nothing to do with it then? Exactly, even if he wasnt and was an MP he would have to leave the board, if he was joe blow no-one would care so they would stay in the job.

Guest Bilo Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 The fact that he's moving to America for a very lucrative job has nothing to do with it then? The fact that members of his family had to flee Germany and were murdered in the Holocaust might have influenced his distaste for open fascists as well....
Carl the Llama Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 El Empty, have you been getting stuck in to the comments section of BBC's Sunderland wrong to sack O'Neill article? I've been doing some research on Ellis Short, who is the owner of Sunderland Football Club. The man is president of Lone Star Funds (probably best you don't delve too much into THAT company). There is video footage that has never been released that PROVES 'Mr' Short can change his form to another form (to me and you, shape-shifting). Wake up people. This guy is going to exposed, soon
Danizen Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 I can't believe that greasy wop is denying he's a racist. "Some of-a my best-a friends are negros."
Guest Bilo Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 I can't believe that greasy wop is denying he's a racist. "Some of-a my best-a friends are negros." If this post was meant to be ironic, it's parody of Chris Morris standards. If not, oh dear......
BoneDog Posted 1 April 2013 Posted 1 April 2013 El Empty, have you been getting stuck in to the comments section of BBC's Sunderland wrong to sack O'Neill article? Defo not me, and I can't stress this enough...I don't believe in lizardmen or shapeshifters and never have. I think the accusation that I do must have started by people on here because they 100% know that I'm correct on most things and want to discredit the facts for one reason or another. There is no other explanation!
21st Century Fox Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Apparently whilst at Swindon, they were contacted by police due to Di Canio's unacceptable goading of opposition supporters. The Tyne-Wear derby should be good.
ScouseFox Posted 2 April 2013 Posted 2 April 2013 Apparently whilst at Swindon, they were contacted by police due to Di Canio's unexceptable goading of opposition supporters. The Tyne-Wear derby should be good. He definitely went a bit mental when they beat Bristol Rovers at home. All kinds of gestures on the pitch for a good 5 minutes towards the away fans after the final whistle.
