Just remembered it from an old thread on this forum and found it.

Looking at him, then, it's unjustifiable to believe that he's originally 'thick' or 'not all there' etc; quite obviously both his mental and physical health has gradually dwindled but he's still keeps going.

Haven’t seen him since a Cheltenham game years ago  was swearing randomly and sticking his middle finger up  having said that I only get down the ground 4 or 5 times a year at best now.

Seriously though what mentally well person walks to Derby?!? Not saying he was like he is now but that’s not exactly normal behaviour.

 

Hoping to see him at anfield today, last time I saw him was West Brom last season where he confused me walked through the turnstile for the shop .

Bernie is currently residing in a care home here in Quorn. Apparently he is suffering from dementia  - though he looks clean and minus any LCFC shirt ☹️

Bless him, it was clear that there were some issues with his mental health, however it didn’t stop him coming along to support his beloved city. It tugs on the heart strings somewhat, how something as simple as football can keep people going? I can’t remember the last time I saw him, but it was away I know that much.... and he was mumbling away to himself but I’m pretty sure he was having a ball... it’s a powerful thing, football... as we saw in cases of little Bradley, what the cause is who knows, possibly the passion and adrenaline sparks a rush of endorphins every one the lads run onto the pitch, but one things for sure you could take anything out my life, but never my football club....
