cjslcfc Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Hopefully we will be a bit sharper on Saturday against you - were quite sloppy and slow tonight. You'll take advantage of us giving the ball away.. Hopefully Anya will play. Unlucky I guess on the goal but thought the decision not to send Bruno was worse... Yet further evidence of how referees consistently bottle big decisions. There was no doubt that that challenge was a yellow card. If he hadn't booked him already the ref would have given him a yellow, which is ridiculous in itself. All decisions should be irrelevant of whether a player is already on a yellow or not. It was just like ours on Saturday. Ward casually kicks the ball away long after the whistle. The ref merely warns him as he is already on a yellow. Undoubtedly, he would have booked him had he not been. Fortunately justice was served later. Mind you, that was for a tackle that didn't really look to much like a foul! The refereeing in this league consistently remains baffling. It's the only consistent thing about it!
Harry - LCFC Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Another case proving that goal line technology is very much needed. Certainly wouldn't be difficult to get it set up at Brighton either.
Soar Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Just finished watching a football show on sky sports 1. Interesting viewing regarding the roles of a scout. Surprisingly Leeds haven't got a scouting network set up at the club.

Does seem strange that the Premier league have it but no-one else does.. The FA could implement it as a must throughout. Just wait till something like that happens in a play-off final!

Just wait till something like that happens in a play-off final! Ugh, if something were to happen in a game that important. There'd be uproar on a massive scale. The only argument against it would be that it might be difficult to implement in smaller stadiums although I'm just guessing there, maybe it is relatively easy in which case there's no excuse.
TJB-fox Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Hope our boys are absolutely buzzed and in an electric mood ahead of Saturday. I assume that big was will have been filled in! absolutely hate Watford and their 30 fans after last year, hope Nigel gets them absolutely pumped

Just wait till something like that happens in a play-off final! The interesting thing will be cup games, will the technology be used? And is it fair if we score a goal similar to tonight against Fulham and it isn't given, while at the same time in the same competition there is a similar incident between Arsenal and Chelsea where they do look at it. Surly if it is going to be used it needs to be used across the board.
davieG Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 As I understand it the FL can have it but the whole league ie. Championship must have it and not everyone can afford it.
Grey Fox Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Wigan continue to strengthen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24725769 Would of liked to see him here... Still if he helps to prevent QPR winning their game in hand tomorrow night then at least that would be something.

But whilst they've got Owen Coyle as manager they won't do anything.

The good thing is Wigan have a lot of games to play and they also have a manager whose starting to look a complete norris. Hopefully they'll not pick up form until it's too late.
dogadug Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Wigan 0-0 QPR Means we're in the top 2 having played the same amount of games as everyone
StarFox Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Wigan 0-0 QPR Means we're in the top 2 having played the same amount of games as everyone Yep. Good result for us.
Corky Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Del Boy should be walking this league with the squad he has got. 14 goals in 13 games, pitiful return.

Harry - LCFC Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 David Vaughan signs for Forest. The one from Sunderland that is.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Seems Forests answer to having an out of form player is to throw money at another Premiership reject, out of form player. Fool me once and all that.
BHAFC Braders Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Whoops They deserved to win it - we were piss poor and sadly don't look like snapping out of it any time soon - even with Donny next!!
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 6 of the top 8 playing each other tomorrow. And those who aren't (Reading and Burnley) are away at Sheffield Wednesday (who have only lost twice at home this season) and MIllwall (which is never an easy place to go). Three points tomorrow and we'll be laughing. Albeit I'd bite your hand off for a point; I'm struggling to see anything but disappointment tomorrow.

I like how you've tried to justify that winless-after-13-games Sheffield Wednesday is a tough game
Guest ttfn Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 I like how you've tried to justify that winless-after-13-games Sheffield Wednesday is a tough game As I typed it I realised I was clutching at straws. But Wednesday do draw a lot of games and if they can pull off their usual trick of drawing 1-1 it will be 2 points dropped for Reading which (maths fans) is only 33% worse for Reading than losing. I'd rather Reading were going away to play a side who don't tend to lose than one which had won a couple but lost 5.
