OzFox Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Wealdstone.....dominated their playoff semi, conceded a late equaliser, then lost it in extra time Sydney FC.....shite from start to finish.
BHAFC Braders Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Wrexham - two trips to Wembley with utter heartache in both Weymouth - finished ninth but with an awful goal difference.
Bugg Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Wrexham - two trips to Wembley with utter heartache in both Didn't Wrexham win the FA trophy at Wembley this year?
Voll Blau Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Bochum - Already spoken for although they also made it to the quarter final of the DFB Pokal. Went to Stuttgart to see it and they gave a reasonable account of themselves for a side who have been dreadful for most of the season. Harborough Town - Staved off relegation from the UCL Prem and beat Barwell in a massive shock to get to the semis of the Westerby Cup.
Harry - LCFC Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Bedford Town - Finished 10th in the Southern League Premier Division. Luton Town - as said above, finished 7th in Blue Square Bet Premier Division. Expected play-offs at least so 7th isn't good. Barcelona - Spanish League Champions Everton - 6th in Premier League. What brings you to like Luton? Bedford not far from there either. I'm a part time fan of theirs because of my Dad who's supported the Town for fifty years now. Been to their two recent PO finals, not particularly fun experiences given the results.
bovril Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 AFCR&D promoted to the top division of the UCL in their first ever season! Good to hear. I used to go to Nene Park as it was quite close to where I grew up. I don't even know where they play now.
Finnaldo Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Hinckley- relegated. Dundee- relegated. Exeter- dropped out of play-offs second half of the season, mid-table. Overall review: shite.

Geographical reasons. I'm from Bedford .
brockmyster Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 East Stirling, bottom of Scottish football league, another successful year then
Tielemans63 Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Kettering finished bottom of the Evo-Stik Southern League, 20 points from safety and with a goal difference of -55 and went through 4 different managers - Solid season. Still, Dean Thomas is in the hotseat now - an ideal appointment.
Guppy Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Yeovil - In the play off final and more than likely the best chance they'll have to get Championship status. Hoping for a trip down there next season.
muzzycomeback Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 Good to hear. I used to go to Nene Park as it was quite close to where I grew up. I don't even know where they play now. Behind the dog and duck in Wellingborough! Where did you grow up if you don't mind me asking?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 May 2013 Author Posted 16 May 2013 I went to the R&D v Sileby Rangers game at the Dog and Duck a month or two ago. Great atmosphere, great game I thought.
muzzycomeback Posted 16 May 2013 Posted 16 May 2013 They get great crowds for the standard they play at, away at raunds there was 70 home fans and 500 away!
bovril Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Behind the dog and duck in Wellingborough! Where did you grow up if you don't mind me asking? The badlands of West Norfolk, so not that close to Rushden but if Leicester were away we would sometimes go to Nene Park. It was around the time of Carl Heggs playing there. They had the best burger in non-league.

bovril Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 My cousin His brother ran a match day carpark in Leicester, didn't he? I remember thinking at the time 'that guy's a spitting image of Carl Heggs' and then he told us he was his brother.
Nugent Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Cobblers in play off final. Daventry Town had a solid season finishing 8th in Southern League division one.
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Arsenal were Arsenal, and will more than likely occupy fourth space again. Huddersfield stayed up Burton lost in the play offs Deportivo are still in the fight for survival after picking up a bit recently (and Manuel's still going at 37) Roma have been shit but are in the Italian Cup Final Hertha Berlin won the Bundesliga 2. Hopefully will make a better go of staying up this time certianly shouldn't be playing 2nd tier football. Sporting Lisbon ended up 4th which I should imagine will be deemed dececnt enough after a terrible start. Hinckley are awful Coalville bottled a massive lead and their play off and will remain in Northern Prem Div One Don't think I'll bother going down as far as Ivanhoe and my own team .
foxfanazer Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 My Granddad was a life time Chelsea fan so I follow them as my prem team. Bit of a mixed season I guess but if Miurinho comes back I can see them winning the title next season. Watch out for Andre Schurlle
NewburyFox Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Lincoln City - flirted with relegation to the Conference North/South but in the end avoided it by 6 points. At one point it really did look like they would go down. I'm at Uni in Lincoln and reported on some of their games so got a soft spot for them. Gary Simpson has done a very good job since he came back in, and they've had a good start to the summer with a few players brought in and some contract renewals sorted. Last seasons top scorer Jamie Taylor will be a loss though, he was so keen to move south that he's dropped down a tier. Now all they need is to get Boyce, Power and Oliver to sign for the next couple of seasons, get another couple of players in and they should be good to go.
ScouseFox Posted 17 May 2013 Posted 17 May 2013 Atlético are my Spanish team and they've just done Madrid at the Bernabeu to win the cup. Monaco and Guingamp are two French teams I look out for, wouldn't say they're my "other teams" but I like 'em to do well. One crowned Champs and one promoted with a last minute winner tonight. Good night for "other teams"
