Les-TA-Jon Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Cech in ahead of Marshall or Lloris? WT-Actual-F?
BoneDog Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Just watching SSN and I saw Souness doing Man City's team talk for their remaining games. FFS.
Guest MattP Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 jose is the best manager in the world by miles Have a word. Look what Klopp and Simeone have done on their budgets. Jose has thrown away a league losing to absolutely shite this season (record agaisnt top 6 is outstanding) - lose Wednesday and it's a trophy less season playing pretty shite football.
Guest MattP Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Assuming Arsenal win tonight 4th is all but wrapped up. Everton fans happy then to throw it on Saturday?
bovril Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Assuming Arsenal win tonight 4th is all but wrapped up. Everton fans happy then to throw it on Saturday? I'm friends with an Everton fan who said he would swap CL qualification for Liverpool losing the league, although I doubt many Everton fans would agree!
Grandad. Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Got to pray for the Blues to do us a favour now next Saturday, we didn't play well yesterday and couldn't break them down. No excuses from me, couldn't care less how Mourinho sets his teams up, he is always going to be a **** in my eyes. A slip () "Gerrard slipped haha" cost us, if that didn't happen there is noway we would have lost that game yesterday, shame it happened but we need to move on and go again at Crystal Palace. Still top of the League with two games to go, anything is possible for those who dream. Oh and congratulations to Luis Suarez. Thought team of the year was spot on apart from Kompany, don't think he has had a better season than John Terry personally.

Yeah I wasn't being 100% serious. He's definitely up there with Pearson and others though. In a one off game there's no better manager than him though
Grandad. Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Everton having a few injuries isn't going to help the cause but they won't throw the game, that would be very unlike Everton under Martinez. Shout out to the Chelsea fan who took a pasting after the game yesterday after he was seen to be spitting on the Hillsborough memorial and another shout out to all the other Chelsea fans who were singing about Heysel and Hillsborough, classless club.
Finnegan Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Yeah I wasn't being 100% serious. He's definitely up there with Pearson and others though. In a one off game there's no better manager than him though There definitely is. His name is Rafa Benitez.

Wasn't saying they would throw it, just wondering if Everton fans would rather they did, of course the players will be trying. According to the vast majority on Twitter that memorial story is nonsense, more a few handbags over a Gerrard song after the game. I can't believe for a second someone would spit on it and he would get more than a pasting (plus this day and age surely we'd have footage of it along with the handbags) Singing about Heysel isn't good at all but the feeling in Chelsea is still very emotional given a lot of Liverpool fans tried to pin it on them. Npt something thats easily forgivable as I'm sure you know considering the lies told about you lot from the Sun etc
Grandad. Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 There definitely is. His name is Rafa Benitez. I was going to post that but I would of been accused of being biased. Rafa is the one off game man.
Finnegan Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 I was going to post that but I would of been accused of being biased. Rafa is the one off game man. I'm sure I remember reading he's an avid chess player. Shows. No doubt that Mourinho is a better manager of a squad and of players (if he likes them.) But Rafa loves a one off match. I actually think Mourinho's a bit shit as a cup manager. Porto was a massive achievement but he's been very disappointing in Europe with limitless resourcess at Chelsea and Real.

Don't argue with me about it, there was plenty of witnesses who I do trust and wouldn't lie about it. I don't care what has gone in the past, you don't sing about these things, if Liverpool fans sing about Munich they are a disgrace as well. Worrying that blokes feel the need to go and support their teams by singing about tragedies and deaths, Liverpool fans included. Makes me feel sick hearing them. I remember going Leicester v Forest in the League Cup replay for the Leicester lad who had the heart attack, a mate jumped on the bandwagon about singing about Clough, I had to move away from him. It has no place in football.

Porto was a massive achievement but he's been very disappointing in Europe with limitless resourcess at Chelsea and Real. Yeah he is Chess mad. A few one off games that had me in awe of the man.. Juventus v Liverpool, 2005 - 0-0. Juve only needed one goal to win the tie on away goals, we went there with no Gerrard and played 3-6-1 pretty much. We didn't park the bus, he just got it spot on tactically. Liverpool v Chelsea, 2005 - 1-0. Goal shouldn't have stood but Cech would have been sent off and we would have had a penalty after 5 minutes Kop End. Got the set up right, let Chelsea have the ball and when the got into the final third we squeezed out. Liverpool v Chelsea, 2006 - 2-1. FA Cup Semi-Final, let them have the ball and we squeezed them again in the final third, went 2-0 up and if it wasn't for a Dudek clanger would of been a comfortable ending as well. Barcelona v Liverpool, 2007 - 1-2. 1-0 down, we were in the media for all the wrong reasons with Bellamy and Riise. Bellamy got it back to 1-1 in the first half, sucked up everything Barcelona came at us with and hit them on the break and Bellamy set up Riise up for the winner. Real Madrid v Liverpool, 2009 - 0-1. Think they had a goal disallowed early doors but I have never seen a side look so comfortable in the Bernabeu, could have been 2 or 3-0.
Guest MattP Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 I agree. Wasn't there so I won't comment anymore but someone has to provide some proof of the incident if an accusation as heavy as that is to be thrown. If it happened I'm surprised he got out alive instead of just getting a kicking. The footage on YouTube and in papers just looks like a few tracksuit clad meat heads swinging drunken punches at other while everyone else watches on.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 how many Liverpool home and away games do ypu get too in a season ?
Grandad. Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 how many Liverpool home and away games do ypu get too in a season ? Seven this season.
AKCJ Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Thought Yaya Toure should have won it personally but can't really have any complaints about Suarez, other than he missed so many games through suspension. Everton having a few injuries isn't going to help the cause but they won't throw the game, that would be very unlike Everton under Martinez. Shout out to the Chelsea fan who took a pasting after the game yesterday after he was seen to be spitting on the Hillsborough memorial and another shout out to all the other Chelsea fans who were singing about Heysel and Hillsborough, classless club. Daft to even suggest that they would.

I'm not looking for an argument before you start thinking that, but why do you think Yaya should have won it over Luis Suarez?
Hugo Sanchez Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Seven this season. Are you a member ? Plus I'm guessing away tickets are hard to come by ?
Grandad. Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Are you a member ? Plus I'm guessing away tickets are hard to come by ? Yeah been a member since I was born. All tickets are hard to come by, I have used my official membership once this season for a ticket and that was Cardiff at home. The other 6 have all been through Twitter funnily enough, there are face value accounts, so if you're quick enough you can get their tickets for the right price. They post you the their fan card and you get put onto the 'trusted' list once you have posted the card back.
AKCJ Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 I'm not looking for an argument before you start thinking that, but why do you think Yaya should have won it over Luis Suarez? There's not much in it, granted, but I think that Yaya has had the bigger impact this season. 19 goals from midfield. Yaya has evenly spread out his goals (I don't know this and I don't know where you'd be able to find out, but I bet Yaya's goals has brought more points per game than Suarez's). Not been suspended. (EDIT; He actually missed one game in the Champions League.) Suarez has been quiet in too many games this season, fair enough he can score a hattrick at any time but he's looked quiet to me in a lot of Liverpool games whereas Yaya is at the forefront of everything City does. Players like Kalas and Bruce with little to no PL experience have been able to nulify Suarez. I think that there should be more to it than Suarez's goals and assists, if you look at performances and impact in games then Yaya has had the better season.
