Lionator Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 If Mourinho was such a genius, then Chelsea certainly wouldn't have lost 1-2 to Sunderland.
Happy Fox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Cardiff City are a joke club, glad they are getting relegated.
Fox92 Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 It wasn't great football, but it's great tactics from Mourinho. Put when behind the ball, defend and score/win. If we go to Anfield or Old Trafford or White Hart Lane etc, do the same and get a result then I'll be delighted... Liverpool are so good at home this season, blowing teams away including Arsenal and Manchester City, so if you expected a manager like Mourinho to go and attack then you're very naive. He isn't an idiot. The only thing I don't agree with is him saying it was "beautiful football". West Ham went to Stamford Bridge and got a point in which Mourinho said it wasn't good football.
Stadt Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 It's not great tactics, it's hardly revolutionary is it? He's parked the bus and he's done it well
davieG Posted 27 April 2014 Author Posted 27 April 2014 Premier League the best bus station in the world.
Corky Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 He sounds such an idiot making out Allardyce is some sort of hero because he's kept West Ham up, then suggesting the only other option is they play more attractive football in the Championship. Really annoying how there seems to be this belief amongst pundits that West Ham can only play one way to survive, that if they played attractive football they'd finish bottom. If the fans want good football above results then that's their choice, it's not the norm but it's what they want. Allardyce isn't going to provide it through his one dimensional long ball boreathon for 90 minutes, I can understand why the fans are fed up and bored.
katieakita Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I can remember us winning two play offs and two league cups. that involved 4 semi finals played over 2 legs. So before we go slagging off this style of football and the chosen one perhaps some of us need to remember how we played in these 4 first legs. So off the top of your head tell us what you remember about our attacking football in any of these 4 matches.

Webbo Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Our squad wasn't worth hundreds of millions of pounds. The principle is the same though. It's not the job of the opposition to make it easy for the other side. You have to set your team out to win.
katieakita Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Our squad wasn't worth hundreds of millions of pounds. Nothing to do with the value of our squad. we played Tranmere,Stoke,Wimbledon & Villa, so hardly potential champions of La Liga or the Premiership, we did what we had to do. In all these games we dug in to get the result we needed in the second leg. It didn't matter how we got their we did vs Tranmere and Stoke Ward and Poole were our mom. I'm not saying its football how it shoud be played but it gets results, bet the Chelsea fans aren't that bothered as we weren't back in the day.

Yes, but I'm not a Chelsea fan. I'm a neutral. So I'd have preferred to watch a more entertaining, end-to-end match today. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be thrilled.
katieakita Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 From what i remember Tranmere were all over us and should have had a penalty for handball, Stoke ran us ragged and Poole had a blinder, Heskey hit the post i think against Wimbledon and ullathorne broke his ankle after about 10 mins and i cant remember much about the Villa game but at our place Villa were awful, they seemed to have a game plan against us for about a decade of playing midgets against our big centre halves and going route one. In fact the one thing that stands out from all the games is coming out from filbo to see a full kit willy puller against Stoke. Grown man, shirt, shorts, socks and boots even had shin pads thought it was Stanley Matthews.
DennisNedry Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Great results today! Cardiff to go down would be nice. Liverpool to choke so near the finishing line would be so sweet, my hatred for Liverpool and their fans is only just topped by Forest.
cambridgefox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Am I fooking hearing things right. This Chelsea love in must stop now.Its nearly as bad as saying you want Forest to win the leagueGet a grip. As someone said on here, which was excellent " chavs that have won the lottery" Definitely a case of " where were you when you were shite" now one of the most cocky sets of fans with a clever, yet rude spoilt brat attitude of a manager.
katieakita Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 No love in for Chelski here but they did give us Muzzy and the Birch, don't know if i'd call their fans chavs think cockney w####rs fits the bill
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 That Chelsea performance was so grim, time wasting after 0 minutes yet Mourinho has a go a fat same for playing negative against him.
Raj Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 glad Im not the only one who would absolutely love Liverpool to choke!!! hate them and the love in from everyone. man c like someone said, the better of all 3 evils! premier league Tossers!!
DennisNedry Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Year after year at school getting teased for supporting 'Leicester Shitty' by almost every other boy in the class who supported Liverpool or Man Utd has left me with a big dislike for both clubs! At least Chelsea and Man City don't have huge followings of elastic fans who have never been to a game or even been within miles of the stadium. *Luckily most lads saw sense by their teenage years and now support the City, but there are still a few pathetic ones who still support the scouse.
BoneDog Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Why do opposition managers always allow Jose to pull off these tactical manouevres? It was obvious what Chelsea were going to do today and from what I heard Liverpool played into their hands. A point would have been fine for Liverpool so if I was their manager my team would have played safe passes for 90 minutes, around the back 5 if necessary (bugar the entertainment at this stage), and won the title after getting 7 points from 3 games. Easy.
AKCJ Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I'm glad that Liverpool lost purely because of those wankers outside the Chelsea hotel the night before.
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 That penalty decision by Phil Dowd, dead short advantage played
Unabomber Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Just noticed your sig I prefer the Knockaert one but it just had to be done.
