It would be fantastic business to get a bit of money for him and we could easily replace him with someone better, but nobody would want him to go, he's our Lloyd. How many players have we had over the last 13 years who we can say truly have the Club at heart? Ohhhhhhh Lord, Lloyd Dyer. That said it sounds like no more than lazy journalism. A 'Relegated sides in wanting proven Championship stalwart' shocker.

Deucalion Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 Heart says Dyer gets a contract here until he needs a zimmer frame. Head says that Dyer is now 30 and if we were offered cash for him, it would probably be good business to take it and reinvest in youth. Doesn't feel good to say that though.
Fox92 Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 Not fussed if he goes, not a massive fan of his inconsistency or inability to stay out wide, but I don't believe why two relegated teams would want Dyer, an average Championship player at best, when they can get better quality (probably have better quality as well).
DennisNedry Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 Dyer's main attribute (and his only stand out one) is his pace. At 30 he will surely begin to lose that soon. If we recieve a decent offer, I'd have no problem with moving him on.

Guest ttfn Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 I don't see Dyer being 30 as a bad thing: 1) He shows no sign of getting slower, if anything he's got quicker over the past couple of years. 2) As many posters have been at pains to point out as if it's some sort of badge if honour, we have a very young squad.
