Like most on here, we probably know very little about him or even have heard of him before this tweet, just like Knockaert last year. However, a central defender is a key player and it would be a bit of a gamble bringing a young lad into a different style of football in a different country. For all I love watching Knockaert, he did make an awful lot of mistakes, we can't afford that at centre half. To some extent loaning Michael Keane was a gamble, but at least he was used to the English game and had a good development at one of the best clubs in the world. If signed, I hope he's a real success, but he may need time to adapt to the rigours of the Championship..

Niges record on centre halves is very good to be fair, I wouldn't worry too much.

could be the next Sol Bamba

great another semi final heartbreak it is

My initial first thoughts lol

If memory serves me right, his was one of the names speculated last year, before it was confirmed that the player being brought in from France was Knockeart.

French rumour mill mentions a compensation fee of 800k Euro. So wouldn't be a mega expensive purchase!

That we can't spend.

We have no money to spend till we ship out four or five players.

So twats on twitter link us to an 800k purchase lol lol lol

It's a French sports magazine that is linking us.

True. For me his worst two buys (relative to the position we're in) in that position have probably been Whitbread and Keane. The former was a good player who has failed to reproduce one-time form because of injuries, the latter is a good prospect who could well progress to top flight standard one day. So that's not bad going. I'd tend to question NP more with centre midfielders and strikers.

But I still doubt we'll have 800K to spend anytime soon. Unless we have an unexpectedly good week in terms of getting rid of players.

Bamba was signed by sven, but any manager can sign the odd turkey. I trust Nigel when it comes to defenders though, he rarely let's us down.

I was messing, and not really comparing. I don't know anything about the lad.

Exactly, a safe bet he will pick a good un. He has been ok with fullbacks too although was Robbie neilson his?

Bambas a funny one, I know loads that loved him, for me he was shit and I was glad to see the back of him. I have absolutly no knowledge of this French chap though, but I'd guess its all drivel anyway.

Leicester have reportedly bid £1.6 million for Bradford wonderkid and local hero Nakhi Wells, who is unlikely to leave however #LCFC #BCAFC

Why do this, when I want him so bad, but it's more than likely absolute bollocks.

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are reportedly battling it out to sign industrious Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater #CPFC #AVFC #LCFC

Why would you bother to read what these bullshitters tweet?

To be fair the fact that they call him industrious is the funniest thing in that tweet!

Not really though is it. That trait was fairly obvious to anybody who's been to a City game he played in.

I am missing something with Danny Drinkwater. I think he's a decent player, who may had a bad run second half of the season. Seems our fans hate on players for no good reason.

Correctamundo. Def doesnt deserve shit he gets

Want to point out that I'm not one of those criticizing Drinkwater, but anyone who suggests Aston Villa are interested in signing him clearly isn't in the know.

I think it goes a bit further than that. He was exceptional in the first half of the season, then second half, he was shocking and that's not judging it against his first half of the season. He didn't look bothered and made so many sloppy mistakes that you wouldn't even expect from a sunday league player. He's probably been ridiculed more because we all had such high hopes for him after his performances.

He is hard working but I wouldn't class him as a tough tackler and that is how I would define industrious so yep, in my opinion that statement is rubbish
