Bert Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 2 tickets purchased. Nice one Mark. Any idea when the draw will be done? Or is it just when the £2k is reached?
Webbo Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 When does the money have to be in by? Also is there anyway we can see the progress bar in the banner so we don't have to click on the link to see how it's going?
davieG Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 We need to get to the £2k otherwise it wont happen unless someone wants to make up the difference. Mark probably doesn't want to say but he's paying the VAT on this which is a fair chunk as Foxestalk will get a spot in the programme.
Bert Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 So Mark is putting in £400 then. Fair play. Come on people get buying!
Leicester Lass Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Cracking idea. What happens to the donations if you don't get to £2k?
davieG Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Cracking idea. What happens to the donations if you don't get to £2k? I think the plan is to refund people.
Bayfox Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 are you interested in a shameless plug for my company? if your are willing to do a joint sponsorship then i would offer to make up the shortfall should you fail to make 2k on the basis it is matty james or another decent player. for the record i will buy personal raffle tickets but would require no tickets for the above offer.
nickyboy Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Is there a deadline for this? Am brassic at the moment, but think its a cracking idea and would love to purchase a few tickets when I can (prob in a few weeks) so hope that's not too late
Mark Posted 10 July 2013 Author Posted 10 July 2013 Is there a deadline for this? Am brassic at the moment, but think its a cracking idea and would love to purchase a few tickets when I can (prob in a few weeks) so hope that's not too late There's no deadline as such (most likely it will run until the target is met) but I need to confirm to the club by next Friday whether we will definitely be sponsoring James - and to answer an earlier question should it look unlikely the target will be met I will refund all those who have bought tickets.
Stadt Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 Would be amusing if we raised the 2k but sold him James is arguably our biggest asset, I doubt he'll be sold
jonthefox Posted 10 July 2013 Posted 10 July 2013 I'll have a go. All for a good cause eh?. And the prizes are quite decent. Edit. Had a go. Would have donated more but i'm taking the kids to florida. El skintio.
Alf Bentley Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 About time that I got the moths out of my wallet....I'm in! Now who shall I bring when I win the "hospitality for 4 people" prize? Bernie, Shane MacGowan and Mike Tyson? There are some major businessmen who haven't coughed up yet.....come on you Tory boys, remember the trickle-down effect!
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Is there any other way of donating other than PAY PAL
Leicester Lass Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Is there any other way of donating other than PAY PAL The link to PayPal lets you donate using your card, you don't need a PayPal account.
Dan Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 I'll stick some in when I'm next paid. Bit tight at the minute.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 The link to PayPal lets you donate using your card, you don't need a PayPal account. Life's a bitch. I am going to have to cough up then ;-)
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Cracking idea. What happens to the donations if you don't get to £2k? Could it maybe go to the Foxes Foundation? I'm sure people who don't mind chipping in money that will go straight in the club's pocket wouldn't mind their money going to a club charity if the target isn't reached. Also, if we're not too far off the target it would be fairly poor form from the club to not find a way to lower the price seeing as it's a consortium of fans and not a private business putting the money in. Maybe something to be raised at the next FCC?

You can't simply redirect the money, I've already contributed sufficient to the foundation and there are other charities I'd prefer to give it to if that's what I decide to do.

You can if you advertise it as that's what would happen to the money if the target isn't reached and unless people specifically request a refund (allowing people like yourself to do so).
