MooseBreath Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 T-mobile already do auto opt-in to their "content filter". It blocks more innocuous sites like yahoo answers than it does porn, then the opt out link is fake, forcing you to call a premium rate number to get it removed.
Guest MattP Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 No problem with whatever measures are taken to block rape/child porn etc. Not sure about asking to recieve anything though. Seems very big brother.
MooseBreath Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 At the end of the day, if you're into extreme internet porn, you know how to get around a little filter. These measures are either another example of incredible naivety (see also thepiratebay & firstrowsports) or a semi-smart way of taking another step down the path towards full internet censorship. I suspect it's probably more the former, but either way it's not good.
Finnaldo Posted 23 July 2013 Posted 23 July 2013 While they're at it, they should block that BBW stuff. Nasty stuff, that.
Danno Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Haha i remember the first time i watched porn. Shame i was in year 6 at school and didnt realise they could see your screen in the ICT office.
Zingari Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Think you'll still be able to see a load of cvnts on the telly at least weekly. Just watch Question Time. Too many limp pr*cks though
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Lot's of rather sad reactions on this thread. Seems like we have some perverts in our ranks. Well, sod you all, I go along with David Cameron. Do you, or would you, like your young child watching hardcore porn? If you would, then I feel sorry for you.

I love how you think without this restriction everyone's kid will be watching hardcore porn.
Rincewind Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 I don't think anyone has said they did, just that any law would be difficult to implement. Even Cameron has had a rethink. Pity he couldn't have thunked some other policies a bit more..

Do you, or would you, like your young child watching hardcore porn? If you would, then I feel sorry for you. If you're that bothered then why wouldn't you just put a filter on your computer? If your young child has unrestricted access to your internet, then it's your own fault for being a bad parent and a moron. It's a fvcking ridiculous idea. It's like saying "I don't want my young child being an alcoholic" and banning everyone in your house from drinking alcohol, rather than, y'know, putting a lock on the alcohol cupboard.

Seeing as you have taken it upon yourself to criticize without evidence the character and motives of people posting in this thread, I would suggest that you do some research. Good commentary and information on these issues can be found by googling 'two girls one cup', 'lemonparty', 'meatspin' or 'shiteatingdonkeyrape'. Come back when you've gained enlightenment.

Guest MattP Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 This did make me laugh. "Ironic that the countries biggest willy puller is now trying to shut down our porn"
Parafox Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 FILTERS FILTERS. That's all it takes and someone (in particular parents , if we're talking about kids being exposed to it) with a bit of common sense and simple knowledge of computers.. It's been available for years, maybe the content has got stronger but the protection already exists. The streets aren't crawling with low-life perverts. The problem with schoolkids viewing it is that it's freely availble on any phone with an internet connection. In that case choose a tariff with NO INTERNET. This proposal equates to linking violent murder with video games. If it's in the nature of the perpetrator, nothing will stop them commiting the crime, certainly not locking down on-line porn. We should be more concerned with further erosion of our freedom to choose and I don't just mean in this context.

Isn't on 02, content is filtered to porn sites unless you have sent an age verification for them.
Parafox Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Isn't on 02, content is filtered to porn sites unless you have sent an age verification for them. Fine, so there's already a restriction. Shame it's onlt one network, apparently.
Guest MattP Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Fine, so there's already a restriction. Shame it's onlt one network, apparently. I actually thought all phone networks had to do this?
ADK Posted 24 July 2013 Author Posted 24 July 2013 I think all of them have it. And it's opt out too and not all that easy to opt out of (forget what you have to do) obviously more than a click. Now i don't want to watch porn on my mobile but it'll occasionally block a site for no apparent reason.
pSinatra Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Fine, so there's already a restriction. Shame it's onlt one network, apparently. Vodafone have a restriction too. I had to ring up & ask for porn. There's been a few references to 'legal porn' in this thread. What is legal porn? As far as I can remember, anything more than Razzle was considered illegal. It's only when the internet took off that there seemed little point in making anything illegal. I used to work in a video shop when I was about 15 or 16. Blokes used to come in & ask if we had anything under the counter? When we said that we didn't, they used to ask if we wanted some. The only legal porn we had was Electric Blue......which was nothing more than a bird rolling around on a bed. You get that kind of stuff on Freeview nowadays. Kids will be kids & I don't see how you can stop it. If the government or parents want to try.....good luck to 'em!!
Vacamion Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 Electric Blue......which was nothing more than a bird rolling around on a bed. Aged 16, we sent our really tall mate into the video shop to get a bongo vid. They sold it to him. Fvckin BetaMax. Then later when we did get a full-on scud video on VHS, it was so softcore, you didn't even see any fur, let alone trains and tunnels. And the dialogue (not that there was much) was dubbed about 3 seconds late...
MPH Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 I read the title as " Cameron to unveil online porn club" I wouldn't be surprised...
