HitchinFox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 And to rub it in, the name of the goal scorer sounds like one of those "kapow" cartoon effects to describe a confused cow.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Seems that we concede quite frequently when the opposition have their first shot on target
The People's Hero Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Isn't Smith the youth goalkeeper ?? He's switched mate, he plays midfield now, sometimes trequartista.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Yeah, lets play the first team, beat carlisle, but lose to charlton on saturday....great logic pal. yeah, because we have no chance of beating Charlton if we play a couple of extra first team players, great logic pal.
bovril Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Yeah, lets play the first team, beat carlisle, but lose to charlton on saturday....great logic pal. FFS it's our sixth game of the season.
Matt Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Pearson does annoy me when he does this, says he wants to win the game, well no, you don't really do you? Sure you've got a mild preference for a Leicester victory but you don't really want to win it do you? If you did you'd pick a stronger team. Not overly disappointed if we do go on to lose but it does frustrate me somewhat when he says that. Don't just blame Pearson. I've just had a quick look at the Pre-Match debate about this game, many fans on here picked a weakened team, many, the majority picked Danns. The same for the 1st round, I even made the point in that thread that people slagged Pearson off and blamed our poor end to the season on playing a weakened team.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Did you not listen after the game on saturday? He told the fans he would be changing the team. Charlton is more important than crappy carlisle. Eugh, another one of these sarcastic comments to deal with... Yes I did listen and yes I knew he'd be making changes. I also listened when he said he wanted to win the game and for me he hasn't really proved that - if he really wanted to win he wouldn't have made as many changes. I don't mind too much about this game, just a tad annoyed by what he said earlier. It's nothing really. I was happy enough with the team for the Wycombe game, thought it was reasonably strong, not so much with this one. I don't want to make too much of this I have to say, it's a fairly mild criticism that I have and I won't be holding any grudges.
steveherbe Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Isn't Smith the youth goalkeeper ?? No, you're thinking about smith, we're talking about smith - see the difference?
ARM1968 Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 With the team we have out we should NOT lose to this lot. Pearson changing things around is sensible, but the players out there tonight should win us the game. Maybe they will.
MikeyT Posted 27 August 2013 Author Posted 27 August 2013 He's switched mate, he plays midfield now, sometimes trequartista.
Guest Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 COME ON LEICESTER, HIT THEM HARD. Right in the goolies!
The People's Hero Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Don't just blame Pearson. I take your point Matt, but the manager has to be given credit when we do well (results have been decent so far this season so credit to him) and blamed when we are losing games we should be winning (and I would point out that we've gone behind twice I can think of this season and gone on to win the games). In short, its not over yet - but personally I'd have picked a stronger side. Many wouldn't. Its hardly a disaster in terms of maybe going out of the cup - but we just need to get in the winning habit and keep confidence up.
Ric Flair Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 One other thing to take in to consideration is, Carlisle are utter horse muck, they've been battered by the likes of Cov. If we struggle against them like we did vs Wycombe it's further frustration. Hopefully we dig in and our quality shines through.

Yet every time he's given a chance Danns ****s it up! & still the morons moan about why he's not walking into a winning first team
Haydos Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Aren't there plenty of people on here that still insist that Danns is quality and should still be getting more chances?
The People's Hero Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Aren't there plenty of people on here that still insist that Danns is quality and should still be getting more chances? These people need to identify themselves and have their internet access revoked. But seriously, it does take all opinions. Maybe they are seeing something we are not?
Matt Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Put it this way even if we are playing fringe players, they should be capable of beating Carlisle - Coventry beat them 4-0 last week (I think). These 'fringe' players should be proving a point, playing and pushing for a place in the 1st team saying, look at me, I can do a job.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Got to admire Dannsy's tactics - play so monumentally badly that no club would ever think of signing you and keep picking up your £15k+ each week. Clever. I'd love it if we could get rid of him - useless sod.

Pearson changing things around is sensible, but the players out there tonight should win us the game. Maybe they will. They aren't a team though, their a make shift team, bit like the ones that got us knocked out of both cups last year. Individually better than Carlise, Burton, etc, but a better team? Hopefully you're right and they should have enough but you make things difficult for yourself by making so many changes. Danns and Logan, pointless, I don't even know why Danns is still here!

The Quick Brown Fox Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 Is this Pearson showing our DOF what the team would be if he sold all our best players? I don't mind going out of cups, its the league I want to do well in.
Bilbo Posted 27 August 2013 Posted 27 August 2013 There is no telling those that indisputably, absolutely and 100% without doubt know best, mate. It's so funny, you literally only ever turn up on this forum when we are losing, where were you on Saturday?
