mkaiser1 Posted 28 August 2013 Author Posted 28 August 2013 PS - I know there's a 'New Chant' thread, but can we give this poll a week before we merge to see if people will go for it?
Kitchandro Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 Morgan's got enough chants. The Marshall chant is overrated anyway.
GingerrrFox Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 No that chant started off decent but now it's been ruined by day trippers singing it too fast.
LCFC FOX Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 Would sooner us sing "Blue Army" than a players name
Callabinho Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 Personally is prefer the "Yakubu" song we did. Can't remember the name of the tune (obviously not the feed the yak) but I liked it and it works with Wes Morgan.
Bert Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 That's what they have at the darts. Could use that for Schlupp! JEFF SCHLUPP SCHLUPP
svensson Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 That "epic" chant is easily the worst song tonhave ever been sung from the terraces. I am also including 99 german bombers in that.... Dear lord its sh@t
Guest MattP Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 If this chant is used it has to be for a flair player/goalscorer. It isn't a centre backs song.
Bayfox Posted 28 August 2013 Posted 28 August 2013 Nope. Just use "the foxes" to fill it. That means we can do it at anytime.
lcfcsnow Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 It doesn't even need to be filled, it sounds much better without throwing a players name into nor sang faster than it should be. Like every song we attempt.
Kitchandro Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Nope. Just use "the foxes" to fill it. That means we can do it at anytime. I'd rather 'The City'.
tomtom Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 That "epic" chant is easily the worst song tonhave ever been sung from the terraces. I am also including 99 german bombers in that.... Dear lord its sh@tIs that like a funky remix of 99 red balloons and 10 German bombers??
Guest ttfn Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Don't use it for either. Shouting out "Ben Marshall" sounded ridiculous.
Ashley Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Yes. I like this idea. The song for him at the minute is DIRE he doesn't hate Forest what so ever. As for Berts suggestion for Chase the Sun(Darts Theme) L C F C.
jamesmilner Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 We've recycled one for him already . I like this chant to be done as free kicks that are going to be a shot on target are taken . Who takes the free kick should be chanted by name . IMO
Finnegan Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 You can be as snobbish as you want about the Ben Marshall chant, its one of only two that gets normally non-singing fans participating. Surely that's the definition of creating atmosphere. Yeah it's ridiculously simple but it works and it's a bit more original than We Love You that has a similar effect. Oh and singing Wesley Morgan hates Forest is retarded. He doesn't, it isn't even ironically amusing, it's just dumb, get over it.
Libertine Dream Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Awful song that sounds nothing like its meant to and is further ruined by shouting someone's name in the middle
Tedders Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Never known a song sound so good at home yet so bad away.
Deucalion Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 Greetings from Terminal 3, Dubai. I think this song is great. Remember when we had a player sent off against Hull and held on to a 1 0 lead to win the game? This song was sung for most of the second half and if anything, slowed the pace down which suited us down to the ground. Therefore, a good defenders song.
shade Posted 29 August 2013 Posted 29 August 2013 No that chant started off decent but now it's been ruined by day trippers singing it too fast. day trippers? wow, so you follow leicester more than just the day of the match? training sessions? academy squad?
