Mark_w Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 So...we aren't signing anyone are we. Forest are selling a key player and signing no one. Cheer up.
Fox42 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 8 mins left... Still have seven minutes to sign Beckford then
Tielemans63 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Jim White is going to explode in a massive cloud of spunk any second.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I predict 15 pages by 11pm tonight but absolutely NO business for us whatsoever.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 QPR have signed Carroll and Assou-Ekoto on loan - BAE will kill it in the Champ.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Still no sign of Jay Emmanuel Thomas? What the fook is Pearson doing tonight? I was just thinking that Col
Harry - LCFC Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 pffffffffffhhhhhhh ..... it's so dull though!!!! We've got to roll the dice ..... even if it's one out one in, at least do a bit of squad strengthening / change .... otherwise we can expect nothing more than we have right now. I can sympathise with that view, I agree that it's not very interesting but it's the sensible thing to do in this situation. Steady progress may be boring and slow but it doesn't bring any major risk with it. We'd be in a better position right now had we not had to offload so many overpaid players in order to make space for others. Yes you can risk it and go for it but you have to realise there are very damaging consequences if you fail as we've already seen.
theessexfox Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Why were people expecting a sudden big signing, NP rarely leaves it this late and we are massively restricted. The main news today is that we've retained our key players. The loan market is still open, anyway.
NeilLCFC Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 So...we aren't signing anyone are we. Hate to say it but I was right.
Haydos Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I predict 15 pages by 11pm tonight but absolutely NO business for us whatsoever. We've loaned Futacs out
kingfox Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Looks like Nicky Maynard got locked in Iceland.
Harry - LCFC Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I predict 15 pages by 11pm tonight but absolutely NO business for us whatsoever. Your smugness never fails to amuse, ASS. Always good to be proud of one's achievements.
theessexfox Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Hate to say it but I was right. Oh, clever you! Do you mind telling me my future too?
Renart Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 YOU'RE ALL TWATS Is that all? I expected more! I stayed up for more! Disappointed.
5waller5 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I can sympathise with that view, I agree that it's not very interesting but it's the sensible thing to do in this situation. Yes you can risk it and go for it but you have to realise there are very damaging consequences if you fail as we've already seen. I know there's two camps on this front .... and I can see your steady progress viewpoint - I just don't subscribe to it being the best way - I think you have to create a buzz of excitement to create success ..... and let's face it, this is like watching paint dry!! We'll see in time .... My money is on the dullest outcome possible, us being just good enough to keep going with the stability. I'll have gone mad by then!!!!
MooseBreath Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Not at all surprised that we've done no real business. Pearson is not a deadline day kind of guy. Far too edgy to do anything as mainstream as signing players on deadline day. Plus it's the right thing to do. Our current core squad plus a couple of loanees here and there is about right. Would have loved to see a proper winger coming in but with Pearson abandoning any form of attack this season I never expected it to happen.
Renart Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I predict 15 pages by 11pm tonight but absolutely NO business for us whatsoever. And I count 11 pages.

Wonder if big Nige has ever been called that before!!
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Kevin Kilbane just called Gareth Barry, 'Gareth Bareth' on BBC. Tears
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 I've got to say ...... Well done Nige ...... there's never even a glimmer of excitement. You've certainly got rid of the delusions of football being fun. Yeah sorry ..... on almost every other criteria NP is flippin exciting. I'm sooooooo BORED supporting us with him in charge it's driving me nuts!! Excitement on deadline day = lack of planning and panic
AnotherShitSeason Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 We've loaned Futacs out Doesn't count. And I count 11 pages. Will still go to 15.
Carl the Llama Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Doesn't count. Will still go to 15. Past 11pm.
theessexfox Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Doesn't count. Will still go to 15. Doubt it.
