KFS Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Jao Carlos Texiera of Liverpool would solve our creativity problem.
cityfanlee23 Posted 4 September 2013 Author Posted 4 September 2013 Albrighton would be a no-brainer surely! There's still that Arsenal lad too that was mentioned t'other week! Personally would like to see a cheeky bid for Larnell Cole! What's the situation with 'non contract' players?? Can you sign them at any time or is that restricted, as per 'loans window'?? The reason I ask is that Ryan Watson's trial appears to be protracted,....can only believe that someone is wavering over whether he's worth a full contract! From what I am aware non contract players can be signed any time... But cannot be instantly registered for the first team until the trans windows open? ... It just secures the signing if you have a contract accepted..
cityfanlee23 Posted 4 September 2013 Author Posted 4 September 2013 What happens now re:Konch loan or back in the team. It seems odd that the club are paying such high wages and not including him the squad. There is speculation about other player but they still play. I suppose it means the club are trying to arrange a loan deal? I would love to see him do well here.. but if we keep a 3-5-2 he cannot play he's not good enough in that role... Would like to see him go on loan to someone paying atleast 50% wages... then play bakayogo LWB with schlupp/dyer lw Zeki Fryers I really rate bakayogo... Well 2 of my tranmere mates do! From what ive seen his last match he really did get into the match once he had found his feet
Karljohn Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Ain't it a farce eh? So much hype for yesterday and clubs can still sign players. I personally don't give a fcuk whoever nige brings in or doesn't I trust he knows exactly what he's doing. Exactly, the window is bollocks, look at West ham, back in for Carlton Cole yesterday. .hordes of frees and loans, now the big boys have done their business, they will push a few kids out on loan.
dobbylcfc Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Would any one take billy sharpe on loan if we got waggy/konch off the books Southampton are supposed to be shipping him out on loan

Leicesterpool Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Would any one take billy sharpe on loan if we got waggy/konch off the books Southampton are supposed to be shipping him out on loan Of course, Sharp is way better than what we've currently got. Getting Konchesky off our books won't be a problem i think, as one or two southern clubs in the championship have expressed interest in him so I won't be surprised if he heads out on loan again. Waghorn will be the problem, nobody in the championship will want him and the league one clubs won't be able to afford is full wages!
dpjfox Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 Prem teams have to hand in their 25 man squads today, this will highlight the surplus
Fox92 Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 When we find a player, we need to make an offer quickly otherwise we might find that Nottingham Forest are interested.
MrSpaM Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 When we find a player, we need to make an offer quickly otherwise we might find that Nottingham Forest are interested. , it does seem that forest seem to be using our scouting network to find them players. "Who are Leicester interested in?" "Right we'll go for them then"
Carl the Llama Posted 4 September 2013 Posted 4 September 2013 , it does seem that forest seem to be using our scouting network to find them players. "Who are Leicester interested in?" "Right we'll go for them then" Their whole business model seems to be based on what we do: "Bring in a clueless ex-England manager? What a plan! Rehiring an old fan-favourite? Done. Put in a transfer bid for Wes Morgan? Why didn't we think of that first?!"
Ric Flair Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Prem teams have to hand in their 25 man squads today, this will highlight the surplus Makes no difference to us really as Nigel tends to go for loans of younger players who PL clubs don't have to include in their 25 man squad. We've missed a trick with Michael Kightly.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Makes no difference to us really as Nigel tends to go for loans of younger players who PL clubs don't have to include in their 25 man squad. We've missed a trick with Michael Kightly. We're constantly missing tricks on all sorts of fronts thats the problem. As well as a missing midfield, missing creativity, missing aggression, missing ability to dominate & missing ability to score (or defend) from set pieces.
artursteppe Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Made me laugh about lukaku... they were banging on about it for about 4 hours and were getting tense in the last minutes saying "THEY NEED TO GET THE PAPERWORK SORTED IN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES OR FACE LOSING THE DEAL" I was sat thinking... No.. they will sign him tomorrow in the loan market anyway if they don't get him today... Don't think the 'loan window' is available for Prem clubs. Only football league.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 We're constantly missing tricks on all sorts of fronts thats the problem. As well as a missing midfield, missing creativity, missing aggression, missing ability to dominate & missing ability to score (or defend) from set pieces. I should say that about sums things up.We have done well, but not played well. Things wont get easier as the season progresses.
Munshi Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Creative midfielder who liked to go forwards instead of backwards all the bloody time would do me fine.
HoustonFox Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Creative midfielder who liked to go forwards instead of backwards all the bloody time would do me fine. This guy looks decent. Bit mardy and slow though....
Vindaloo FOX Posted 6 September 2013 Posted 6 September 2013 Stephen Dobbie not in the 25-man squad , could do a decent job in the Champ .
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2013 Posted 6 September 2013 Stephen Dobbie not in the 25-man squad , could do a decent job in the Champ . Hahahaa haven't Palace only just signed him?
Corky Posted 6 September 2013 Posted 6 September 2013 Hahahaa haven't Palace only just signed him? Yeah, both him and Marange (new signings) were left out of the 25-man squad.
svensson Posted 9 September 2013 Posted 9 September 2013 Anyone coming? Anyone care? Apparantly Forest don't care
hackneyfox Posted 10 September 2013 Posted 10 September 2013 Heard that Waghorn is off to Millwall and we'll have a new striker coming in. Source not to be trusted, just wondered if anyone else has heard the same.
Ryanw21 Posted 16 September 2013 Posted 16 September 2013 Villas-Boas is willing to let Adebayor go out on loan, get him in! obviously we wont actually get him in because of wages more than anything but QPR may snap him up, could be a player to secure the league for them
