Smudge Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 I only saw the second half but for the first time in a long while we seemed to boss the game. Very pleased with that.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Good game! Played well. Taking nothing away from our lads but Wigan were shit, I expected alot more from them, I expected a tough game, i'd say it was fairly easy tbh. We could and should have scored more that is my only negative point, but hey doesn't matter how many you score, you still get the same points. I don't think Wigan will be shit all season. They have a good squad there. And in the first half they kept the ball nicely, albeit without any cutting edge. Personally I thought we made them look very very average. What I'm saying is today we were really good. Very well organised and everyone put in a shift.
smudger63 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 How the **** is Pearson still in a job. Disgraceful and that bloody Vardy non-league idiot... Get Beckford back from Bolton sharpish!!! Pearson OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Three wins in the last seventeen games of last season, probably costing us promotion, seemingly with no idea how to turn us around! I must admit i was asking myself exactly that, but so far so good, despite us not always being at our best, but a long season ahead of us, so let`s not start blowing his trumpet and calling him god until the end of the season, if and when we are promoted. Let us remember, we were second after twenty nine game last season, and then imploded, and we have only played six games so far this season. Enjoy it now, and lets hope we can still be enjoying it in another forty games time! Up The City
Guest shearfox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 This was the LCFC we got to love last season, one word fanf**kingtastic....
jamesmilner Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 control of the game all the way through , felt comfortable watching even when they had possession . well done city , very well done !!
00rawat Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 First half was not much in it and the second half were all over them if the final pass was better and we had are shooting boots we would have more goals.MOTM was Moore solid performance surely if he continues his good form U21 call up from England.
Monsell1976 Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Glad we played positive football, with positive players, and got a deserved win against a very good side. Radio leicester kind of suggested that Wigan weren't at their best today, but I would say they weren't at their best today because we didn't let them be good, the lads closed them down brilliantly, and didn't let them play the good attacking football we know Wigan are capable of. One more win not getting carried away, but still think we have got a bit more to come, and long may it continue.
Bryn Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Actually you'd need a hyphen in there too, so not quite right.

But take it one game at a time. It's typical CC Star bullshit which I tend to ignore these days.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 My French really is shit! I had the shocking realisation my GCSE is as old as the kids I teach the other day.
GorlestonFox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 He's one of our own. He's one of our owwwwwwn. Liam Moore. He's one of our own! What a guy! Who would had thought he would be number one choice next to Wes last season Fair play to the lad. Stand out player today.
Callabinho Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Stark contrast to what we have seen to date, some lovely football at times mixed up with a bit of direct play, solid defensively and well organised. An all round good performance!

Potential to be a future international for England hopefully he does that at Leicester...

An all round good performance! It was a roll back to August-October last season when we were top, completely controlled everything and looked dangerous..

TrentFox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 Very tidy indeed. People slagging Wigan off do us an injustice. They are a strong, pacy, organised bunch (apart from the first goal). They have very capable players. But we were better. Well done one and all.

I doubt many teams will be so dominate against them

I was mocking morons, not giving him a blowjob and lighting him cigar for him 1 defeat in the final 6 games to secure a playoff spot is clueless how to turn it around??? Selective memory at work there, that's pretty much the definition of turning it around? But yep no hiding that the run prior to turning it around, was as bad as anything we've come across and if the owners didn't want a trigger happy reputation would probably have been sacked and it would be hard for anyone to make a case in his favour!
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 What the fcuk is Youngy on about on the radio???? Saying Wes was our worst player on the pitch. Tool He was our worst player. Uncharacteristically so. So many times he sliced simple pasees and was conceding free kicks. Hopefully he gets used to this going away for international duty business. It's the best we have played this season but that's it, it wasn't anything spectacular. Defensively we looked a little shaky and they had so much space in the middle. Nugent was crap too. Nugent's shooting was poor but his link up play was good. Played people through a number of times. Don't be too harsh on him, strikers aren't just there to score goals you know. Nugent was very poor and his penalty shouldn't mask that fact. It wasn't just his shooting. Yes he missed a couple of good chances but he also just seemed so cumbersome and lacking in sharpness. Hopefully he'll get back on-song soon because he's been a bit poor recently.
ousefox Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 What has happened to Moore this season. Absolute beast. Lovely bullet header too. Though the marking was a little questionable! Anybody know when Nugent last scored with his feet from open play? Played well enough today but genuinely can't remember...

They played some good fast, one touch passing and we had to be at our best at the back to not give them a chance They'd have played their way through plenty of other sides. We're still not at our best, but it was good we could rise to the challenge of beating a side made up of some useful players... and it was good to put an improved performance in to match the pretty good results we've achieved so far
Bryn Posted 14 September 2013 Posted 14 September 2013 I have one it's through the est In that case it's in the wrong place, goes between the "are" and the "you"
