Great performance honestly thought we would struggle today. Said when we went 2 down against charlton, why are we not playing 442 with dyer and knocky wide.. Nig must have heard me. Rest of the weekend will be good.

Cheers youngy.

Great result!

Just one thing, what does Moore have against Marks Electrical?

Ripped him off on his iPhone

And there's me thinking he'd get a HesOneOfOurOwn discount, good for you Liam, good for you.

Just got back

Good hard working performance today, deserved the win and could of even had a couple more especially from open play.

Liam Moore was excellent again, and outshone Morgan in my opinion. Konchesky despite not playing for a good number of weeks, performed consistently well. The midfield weren't lightweight, Andy King especially first half controlled the midfield and was absolutely outstanding. Drinkwater also had a good game. Vardy is a changed player, worked so hard and it was great work by him, to get the penalty.

Moore MOTM for me.

Great win, three points, and a clean sheet, clean sheets especially make me happy  :scarf:

Moore Moore Moore, how do you like it, how do you like it.

Moore Moore Moore, how do you like it, how do you like it.

He was trained to be a winner, not an international... yet I see the potential for him to be so...

Wigan had the crapest fans I've ever seen at our stadium and the stewards in N block were bell ends today

Wes says he'd like a new contract and NP says he hopes talks will start soon. Good news

He deserves a new deal, important we keep him... almost indispensable... He could play for a good PL side...

That is music to my ears,

'I think sign him up' needs an airing on Tuesday now.

Great win today played some good football and dominated the majority of the game whilst Wigan who have a host of Prem standard players created not a lot.

3 more home games in the next two week which we could set us up nicely.

Seems like we had a great game, solid performance throughout.

Didn't listen to game,- which i normally do - because I knew we would win.

I feel proud to be a City fan this evening.

We've just beaten a good side and limited them to just about fook all.

We scored two, and if Nugent had his shooting boots on, it could easily have been five or six.

Top marks to Moore who was, frankly, sensational today and to Vardy who did not stop chasing and harrying. He set up at least three great chances for Nugent.

Very happy tonight.

It's the best we have played this season but that's it, it wasn't anything spectacular.

Defensively we looked a little shaky and they had so much space in the middle.

Nugent was crap too.

442 and having proper wingers made all the difference. I can't see a single compelling reason why any other formation should even be considered at this point. On our day playing like we did today we can beat anyone in this league home or away. At this stage of the season we should be looking to put everyone to the sword. No more tinkering please Nigel. Let's build some momentum and start piling up the wins.

We saw the game out with 433 though

Flexibility will be a key part of success over 46 games... Like the job we did on Watford in 1st leg of playoffs with a 4411

Formations aren't everything though, I'd just like to see us play on the front foot.... & where possible - quick passing, if we do that we have the quality to win enough matches to be right up there

Good game! Played well.

Taking nothing away from our lads but Wigan were shit, I expected alot more from them, I expected a tough game, i'd say it was fairly easy tbh.

We could and should have scored more that is my only negative point, but hey doesn't matter how many you score, you still get the same points.

Good performance, i think a few on here are going overboard on calling it the best performance. I know we restricted them but Wigan did keep us under pressure for large spells. I was sure that a second goal would have been the difference.

Wes and Moore are getting better. Knockaert and Dyer on the wings should be used at all home matches (although Knockaert needs some competition now that Marshall has gone). Nugent needs to be wondering about his place, because right now i'm thinking that Wood would be better.

Get the 3 points against Blackburn on Tuesday and things will be great.
