I'm bored and want to find something new but have struggled to find much inspiration recently. :/

So, open to suggestions...

The kinda stuff I tend to go back to most often includes: Alt-J, Django Django, Gayngs, Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, XX, Jeff Buckley, Portishead, Fleetwood Mac,The National, Lauryn Hill, Ian Brown, The Cure, Flaming Lips, etc

Maya Jane Coles - Comfort. Best album I've heard since XX. Recommended it in here awhile ago so you may already have seen it.

That Emika effort is a cracker, Jay. Cover of Chris Isaak is superb.

Total Loss - How to Dress Well

Shrines - Purity Ring

Where The Heaven Are We - Swim Deep

No World - inc.

Out Of View - The History of Apple Pie

Anxiety - Autre Ne Veut

Few of those could be up your street AOWW, that How To Dress Well album is mind-blowingly good, had it on alot since it's release a year back.

Lowb - Leap and the net will appear (Andy Barlow from Lamb doing his thing without it being dominated by Lou's voice and it's a great album)

NOCEREMONY/// - great album from this band. Not been round that long I don't think but this is great. Spacious and atmospheric but with undercurrents of electro and indie. It's my favourite at the moment.

Conor oberst and or bright eyes/ any of his solo stuff/ other projects.

Suggested due to you including Bon Iver.

On the same sort of theme ie inspired to you listing Bon iver - ballboy.

Also the just janes. If they are actually called that. Helpful I know. The indelicates.

Seeing the Jeff Buckley, Bon Iver try Nick Drake - Pink Moon, old but good. Also Bill Callahan - Apocalypse and Fink - Distance and Time (Jay recommended this years ago)

Goat - World Music has been the highlight for me recently along with Vondelpark's first two eps nyc stuff and sauna

I will post some links later for you to grab them

The Life Pursuit - Belle & Sebastian

City & Eastern Songs - Jeffrey & Jack Lewis

Sleep/Holiday - Gorky's Zygotic Mynci

All of which are quite old now but I never see on people's shelves/Ipods

I'll add my recommendation to the Maya Jane Coles fan club, plus a few others.

Tell Where I Lie - Fossil Collective

Pain Is Beauty - Chelsea Wolfe

The Golden Age - Woodkid

Inform: Educate: Entertain - Public Service Broadcasting

There's a new Flaming Lips album this year, The Terror, but it's pretty experimental (to put it mildly).

From last year, Visions by Grimes (which has nothing to do with grime music - more electronica dream-pop with etheral female vocals.) and Dead & Born & Grown by The Staves

As Hairy says, Pink Moon is a superb album from older times.

Some posters are so ungrateful .It's a sign of the times these days

I'm adding Lamby's name to the list of unappreciative FT posters.

Haim - new album Days Are Gone

Bit mainstream but sort of Fleetwood Macish
