Tubes Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 They can stay well away from us!!! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/red-bull-looking-buy-english-2366075?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Libertine Dream Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 It's got Everton written all over it but I can't see many of their fans or any teams in this country being happy about being called Red Bull and everything that goes with the franchise.
davieG Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Already being discussed here -http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/88736-premier-league-201314-stuff-it-in-here/?p=2745565
MC Prussian Posted 19 October 2013 Posted 19 October 2013 Liverbull? Bullham FC? Bull City FC? You choose.
Fox42 Posted 20 October 2013 Posted 20 October 2013 Red Bull Coventry. And they lived happily ever after.
Stadt Posted 20 October 2013 Posted 20 October 2013 Red Bull City Tigers Assiciation Football Club has a nice ring to it
Aus Fox Posted 20 October 2013 Posted 20 October 2013 Red Bullton Wanderers? I also heard Billy Davis is being lined up to mange the new franchise, because he's full of Bull
Fox in the North Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 I heard its Newcastle... There would actually be a riot, probably ending with Mike Ashley's head on a spike....
BHAFC Braders Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 Red Bull Dons - to see if they can be hated anymore?
Danizen Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 Hypothetically, if they did choose us, how long would it take you to get used to the idea? We criticise the Cardiff fans because after some protesting, most of them went back to support their team but what's the alternative? Support Liverpool? Support some League of Wales side or not support anyone? I'd imagine none of those choices appealed to Cardiff fans and wouldn't appeal to me, either. I would hate it but after a few months of turmoil, I'd go back and support the team that represents my city. Go on, bite my head off.

Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 Who would I support if we became Leicester Red Bull and played in their corporate red amd white? Simple. The fan owned protest club in the Midland Alliance. There's no way you'd ever catch me at a Leicester Red Bull game, not ever.

Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 I'd get over it, especially if they put us in the champions league. We're Leicester City, not Leicester Red Bull. I wouldn't consider LRB us by any stretch of the imagination, just another corporate arm of an Austrian energy drinks company. It's all moot anyway, I think we're one of the safest clubs in the Championship with our ownership being fairly secure.

I agree it's unlikely and I'm not saying I'm in favour but it wouldn't stop me supporting them.
Aus Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 I agree it's unlikely and I'm not saying I'm in favour but it wouldn't stop me supporting them.I couldn't support a corporate sell out franchise. The simply wouldn't be the team I grew up supporting, if they change the name, the colours the badge what have we got left? I would hope most fans would turn their back in it, at some point a group of supporters need to say no to corporate greed ruining football and stop going.
Danizen Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Times change, though. We didn't always play in blue and the association with fox hunting is a lot less relevant now it's been banned. I'm not saying I want it to happen, I'm just saying we support a club that represents our city not a badge or a motif that represents a brand.
