Capital One Cup Draw

Why the **** would anybody want Utd etc??

Its the quarters!!! Winnable tie at home please!

Because I doubt we will win the cup, and a day out at a top premier league ground would be an experience we don't get very often.

We could get that in a semi if we get through!

Indeed we could.

A nice winnable tie at home then a big draw in the semis, that way we'll get them home and away.

Reflecting on it, yeah, I want an 'easy' side at home. West Ham or Stoke then I guess? .. I doubt Hull will win at Tottenham tomorrow, and I doubt Newcastle will beat Manchester City.

It's the quaters though. I don't want to go out to the standard Stoke away or Chelsea away.

Imagine if we could get into the semi's. Oh my.

Ideal draw for me:

Man Utd v Chelsea

Leicester V Hull

Stoke v Sunderland

West Ham V Newcastle

That's hoping Newcastle and Sunderland win.

I think we can beat Hull at home and realistically Sunderland and Stoke are the only teams I would fancy us to beat over two legs. So if we get through and either of those do I think we can keep going! Chelsea in the final with Liam Moore scoring the only goal!

Who do we fancy in our Europa League group next year?

Any Russian team please, I think that is the closest to Australia

I think it will be Chelsea at home, but you know what I don't care! who ever we get will be a good draw. If we get either Stoke, Newcastle or West Ham then we've certainly got a great chance of getting into the semi's and if we do face Chelsea, Man U, Man City or spurs then at least it will be an entertaining evening.

Stoke at home for me. How they dragged it out against Birmingham says it all really. I reckon they're are best chance of getting to the semis.

Would be nice to get them back a little for that horrific day in 2008

West Ham and Stoke are both not playing too well in the Premier League, so either one of them at home would be a decent draw.

Having said that, should Sunderland get past Southampton - there's another candidate.

Hull at home would be my fourth choice, but I don't see them winning against a Tottenham side that is riding its luck this season.

If we manage to get past the next round, I don't care how we would fare in the semis - just give it our best shot against one of the top teams in the highest English football division.

Exactly. Despite the initial pain of May remembering 2008 was a lot worse. Plus it's a very winnable fixture and since the last cup we won was when I was 3 and that I wasn't interested in football to the 2005/06 season I've never seen us win anything apart from the League 1 title, which was our lowest finish ever anyway!

I remember watching the game. We absolutely dominated them. Post, bar, everything. It's the way their fans went about it as well. Nothing will hurt more than being relegated to our lowest position ever.

Being 6 at the time, I don't particularly have a vivid memory of winning the league cup either so it would be nice to at least get close! And in a semi, you never know! Look what Bradford did.

Been quite an amazing journey so far, scoring in the last minute at Wycombe!, banging five in all the way up in Carlisle, scoring two in the last ten minutes against Derby and now beating Fulham wow!

It's going to be Stoke away. Absolutely nailed on that after the developing stereotype (much used by myself) that we'll have to go to the Britannia on a cold Tuesday night in December.
