Which TV program can't you stand and think is pointless

I think Catfish is ****ing brilliant.

You and me both, brother.

I like Geordie Shore and Made in Chelsea too, though. So I'm obviously not the type of person to ask about tv. Regarding Geordie Shore, I don't get how you can't like it if you've ever watched it. It's bloody brilliant. The only thing I can think of is that maybe some of you are taking it seriously which is a million percent not what you're meant to do. You're meant to watch it, laugh at how fúcking stupid they all are, laugh at how fúcked they get and how much they piss each other off. If programs like that annoy you, you are definitely taking them seriously and actually getting angry at people being filmed with the aim of getting drunk and seeing how much havoc they can cause.

This, every single bit of it.

The old Victorian freak show never went away, we either wheel out the vulnerable in the early rounds of X factor etc or lock desperate people in a house for a few quid to be laughed at by the masses.

Is that quote Andy Millman?

Yes it's dreadful.

My favourite comedy/programme alongside Only Fools... Fawlty Towers is quite clever at times, very funny and remains influential in terms of comedies. I even heard one writer (could have been John Sullivan actually) call Fawlty Towers the line for which comedies have to reach.

I understand you might not like it, but it certainly wasn't pointless.

X Factor, BGT, MIC, Towie, Geordie Shore, Dancing on ice.

I think Catfish is ****ing brilliant.

It's hilarious.

Some of the people on there should just top themselves, when they're a 2/10 at best thinking some gorgeous model from California is genuinely talking to them. lol lol lol.

I think the ones taking it too seriously are the ones who bang on about it as if the people on it would give them a seconds thought, who turn up to a club because 'Gaz from Geordie Shore' or whoever is in town etc...

You raise a point but the other end of the scale (the ones who obsess over these no-marks) is a hundred times as frightening if you ask me.

You've been framed

Find it truly depressing and the canned laughter irritating

Isnt that the show that tried to be 'FRIENDS' but wasn't anywhere near as good?

No its the show that is like Friends only is massively less sickly.  And they drink in a bar not a ****ing coffee shop.
