It was just crying out for some busy mother/father to complain to the club about the bad language and aggressive behaviour. That has probably happened and the club are enforcing a rule that the family stand is for...families. I have sat in the family stand with my son for a while now and can assure you that the section of the crowd which produces the bad language and aggressive behaviour the most are the kids. Usually sat next to their parents, who sit there encouraging them. The match atmosphere and the chanting get to the kids and they get 'over excited' and hence the language. I have learnt some new words in my time there.

You do what the club wants on their property or get out, just as you would kick me out of your house for taking a leak on your bed instead of in the bathroom. If you were taking a leak you would be doing something illegal, if I commit an illegal act in the ground they have the right to remove me. They shouldn't have the right to tell me I can't buy a ticket in an area due to my age. I'd be interested to see how this stands up under the 2010 equality act.
JamesLCFC Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 What the club are doing is shocking and something that i'm so passionate about to eradicate from happening, sadly my voice will just be ignored by the club. What the fans needs is a boycott or something to show how pissed off we are getting at the club doing what ever they can to stop people from enjoying the game and creating an atmosophere. Take the game against Forest for example. In the family stand adults are able to get into the stadium for £26 (still very high) but some may be able to afford that. In the Kop you're looking at £6 extra for the game to move somewhere with the same fvcking view as the family stand. It seems like the club really aren't bothered about the fans, the numbers and the atmosphere I personally believe making people pay upgrades if they cannot prove they're under 18. Making them bring ID to every game even if they just want to watch the game etc is morally wrong. The club should stop obsessing over making the match day as family-orientated as possible and focus more on getting people into that ground to watch our club.

If I can't get a ticket because there are only tickets left in the family stand but there are kids in the rest of the ground then how is that fair? It isn't, but that's what you get when you've got a club who actively tackles fan culture.

I've only ever watched (first team) home games at the Walkers/King Power so I had no idea that our fans have ever been loud.We used to be loud with just 10000 at Filbo, helped by good acoustics at the Kop end

The age thing is obvious, under 18 only but if I were gay, trans sexual or indeed impotent then they are discriminating against me. Or indeed if I were too old to have kids or had my womb removed etc etc.

Ofcourse people who are there for the banter are going to want to surround them. I wouldnt expect otherwise. Just another step towards turning lcfc into a kids club. Pathetic.

It's not illegal to take a leak in your bedroom, it would only be if you were in bed and I pissed on you or exposed myself to your mrs. They have every right to say where you can or can't buy tickets. Equality act, are you kidding me?

If we're concerned about 'volatile' situations then we should also make a bigger gap between them and L block as that's a far, far move active area of the ground.
Weller in Tights Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 Blessing in disguise really if the N block crew go back to the Kop or L / K. I know I'm a stuck record but, seriously, there's nothing intelligent about dividing your singing sections. Respect to those that grew that little cluster but you always knew you were doing it in a section designated for families and children so I've very marginal sympathy, frankly. That doesn't mean I agree with having a families only section at games but if it means less of a clamp down on singing, standing and swearing in the rest of the ground then good compromise. It is not that easy just to move over to the L block. I am in a group of 4 adults, 1 16 yr old daughter and 5 12 year old lads. We are not going to get 10 tickets together in the standing area of L block are we??? We currently stand at the back of N block, I know of no one that has been complaining about N block that is actually in the family stand. In fact most people in the family stand have enjoyed the improved atmosphere this Season. AND we can't stand that moronic drum, three of us were in the original small group of standers at the back of the L block when the ground opened, we battled for the first few seasons to be allowed to stand. Then the club stuck a drum there!!!!

There have been at least 4 people on this subject say "swap the Kop and Family Stand". The police directly influenced the decision to put the Family Stand next to the away fans. Who in their right mind is gonna attack a bunch of young kids and families?
