whats wrong with hooper, pantanyou, schlupp  i am sure there are others.

Schulpp is very inconsistent and very often a poor finisher. He's going to be a far better asset down the left side.

The other two are nowhere near ready to be playing for a team near the top of the championship.

I agree.

Then when I make a thread saying we could do with a couple of loans (winger and a striker)

people scoff at the idea. Just saying lol

We still have plenty of options for this weekend though, even with a testing amount of unavailability.

We'd still be pretty dangerous at home with one up top for instance. Davies is a hoof and set-pieces merchant so having three in the middle to pick up loose/second balls is a sound idea also.

Keep Jeff at left back, start GTF and then lob Hopper on when he's fooked. Konchesky can come on if Jeff is getting torn a new one. Let's have faith in our academy.

Could they not just get on the same jet?

They tried talking to West Ham to arrange this. But as above if Winston Reid isn't going, and they can't get a private jet in time for Saturday after the match, then the only option is to send Wood out on the plane with the rest of the NZ players.

But, as a club, we should have foreseen this happening as soon as we knew NZ would play these matches and have various plans for travel arrangements in place whilst ensuring Wood can play as well.

Let's have faith in whats got us to 2nd before that.

As previously stated It could be a great chance for tom hopper, he's been in good form for the under 21's. Coming off the bench with a load to prove in a big game with the crowd having little expectation could be ideal for him.

You realise it's close to a sell out, we are 2nd and it's a home game against Forest yeah?

A not fully fit Vardy starts. Gets his hattrick in 20 minutes. GTF comes on. Job done.

Alternatively, he gets crocked cos he's not fully recovered and is out for the next 6 weeks.

I'd hate to see him played if there's that risk;  would rather hold our nerve and put our faith in the rest of the squad.  If Hopper is sent on then he might be too raw and add little to our goalscoring ability, but even so, as long as he's prepared to put himself about in a Vardy-esque way then he will contibute to the team effort.  On the other hand, he might step up to the mark and surprise us all.

But if Wood is unavailable and Vardy is injured then i'd rather we reward a kid whose done well in the academy than completely re-shuffle the pack to accomodate the dilemma. Schlupp's ability up front is erratic and i'd rather he stay at left back or left wing. I'm sure we can cope with GTF playing until he's blowing out his arse and then either lob Hopper on, or go Nugent through the middle with Knockaert and Dyer just behind.

This could be Tommy Wright II all over again, lob Hopper on (I don't know why I keep using that term but it's sticking) vs these bastards and he scores the winner 1-0 and we finish 2nd and get promoted. Job done.

Couldn't we just play 4-3-3/4-5-1 with Dyer-Nuge-Knocky base up front? King, DD and James or Hammond in the middle? You'd have GTF, Hopper and Schlupp who can slot in at any point in the second half. There's bags of goals in this side.

If Vardy is not fit and Wood is absent then I believe that this is exactly the plan that NP will go with.

I reckon GTF may start as well. All depends on Konch's fitness as it sounds more likely he may be fit than Vardy. If so, we may see Schlupp up front and him LB

If people are happy to see GTF start this game then I'm surprised.

Our success has been founded upon a Vardy/Nugent partnership and understanding, pace and consistency in the side.

GTF is slow, and he's in his twilight years as a footballer. To be relying on him as the starter in a difficult game against our rivals is misplaced IMO.

He may well play ok. But his inclusion may change the way we play. At the moment that's not a good thing to do.

Would love to see GTF start he was majestic when he came on against Watford, won everything and had a magical touch on the ball except that 1 time he fell over on his ass. Could see him being the next Ian Marshall for us
