qwerty123 Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Hi Could people suggest where to go for breakfast in leicester? I'm not talking greasy spoon - more fancy if possible I've been to Jones's on queens road and dos hermanos Thanks
Zingari Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 the premier travel lodges ( heathley park , city centre , gynsills) do good breakfasts , all you can eat for about 8 quid edit; kids eat free too
Tincy Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Lyns cafe, narb road, best breakfast you will ever have
Unabomber Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Mrs Bridges. In all seriousness this is a good shout, really nice place with quality home cooked food.
Voll Blau Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Does Delish on Rutland Street do breakfast stuff? Used to love going in there for lunch when I worked in town. Had a great Eggs Benedict in that Jones's place once too.
Rincewind Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 MattP's place. Upmarket stuff and a discount for Gold Card holders.
Guest MattP Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Newmans on Market Street. Get a lovely English Breakfast and a pot of tea and it will cost you about £5. Not sure if Don's is still in the fishmarket but they did a fantastic one as well, bit more expensive (£6-7 for a English) but high quality. (As mentioned Mrs Bridges is a good shout as well, but it does get a bit crowded)
Guest MattP Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 MattP's place. Upmarket stuff and a discount for Gold Card holders. Closed down now, our main suppliers were the local food bank but they are out of produce, hoping gas prices go up so they get more returns and we can back on our feet.
The God Emperor Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 I had a decent breakfast in the last Plantagenet
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Yesim Turkish cafe on Narborough Road is awesome, if you fancy something a little different. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186334-d2329489-Reviews-Yesim-Leicester_Leicestershire_England.html Ignore the 1 bad review, I love this place!!

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Mrs Bridges. I was going to recommend the Bridge, what a gem.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 I really like the Cafe Express on the old Haymarket Swiss Cottage site. Avoid the Silver Street Cafe like the plague though. Not sure if these would qualify as "more fancy", anyway.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Croques on Loseby Lane or Carluccios does a great Eggs Benedict...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Wetherspoons do decent breakfasts for the money. They ARE great value for money, and really good.
Bayfox Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Whats the brekkie at dos hernandos like. Tempted to try it this week.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 7 November 2013 Posted 7 November 2013 Holly's is good too - excellent scrambled eggs on toast there too for just over a 5er with a bottle of water
