OUR FANS

SK1 was decent. Don't get to as many games as I'd like to due to other commitments but can guarantee chants pretty much all game there when I do get to go. Whenever I have gone in J3 in the past I've found myself singing on my own, even when we're winning, and being laughed at by some kids who spend the whole game on their phones.

Exactly the experience I had yesterday.

Left 5 minutes early yesterday and got home to Cradley Heath 45 minutes earlier.

Probably makes me a bad fan but the football was crap and I was going out.

Just to fill you in on what you missed.

They kept 10 players behind the ball, we carried on like we wouldn't score if we played all night.

The final whistle went and King Billy came on the pitch as if they'd won the Word Cup.

" No, not me" he gestured to his worshiping fans, then pointed to his players.

Sort of wish I'd left 5 mins earlier to be honest.

The most memorable moments of the match was the, delivery of the match ball, the last post and minutes silence and the half time march pass by current and ex service personnel.

The match was an anti climax after all the build up in the press and on here.

Where i sit the kop at times it's like a grave, when we've just scored or had a near miss they'll make some noise other than that it's just silence. I think the biggest problem with the kp is the most vocal lot (east standers) are so far away from the kop and we can't connect the atmosphere.  The area in the corner between the East Stand and kop is that quiet you wouldn't believe anyone is there.

These threads are completely pointless and do nothing but spread negativity - yet there's loads of them every week.

We've got some of the best fans in the league. Football's been sanitised, it's happened everywhere and we have this conversation every week. Can't we go back to talking about how we're second in the league and enjoying our best start to the season ever?

Living away from Leicester, I must admit I prefer going to aways for the atmosphere and look forward to these games more.its a shame L1 and the kop ( fans) were not nearer as this I believe would help, but this isn't going to happen as we know.We know we can do it Watford PO home leg was brilliant.Would love to make the ground intimidating for the opposition fans/ players as I think this would be to our advantage. To be fair I only go to about 5 homes and 5 aways a year these days so might be unfair/ wrong of me to criticise.

What! A manager came on the pitch from the dugout and showed some passion? It'll never catch on at the KP.

Take it as a compliment, Davies knows we are a good side who are to be taken seriously. They could've gone 12 points behind us, it's a massive result for them.

I'll be completely honest, singing and chanting is tiring and when you're 0-2 down to your bitter rivals and no one else can be assed why would you bother?! That's how I felt yesterday! It was a strange day for chanting! At one point the KP was the loudest I've ever heard it and then the quietest!

Posted

He always does it. Just that, based on the result, sometimes he looks smugger/more smug(?) then others.

Yeah i have seen him do it a lot before on highlights etc..

But he looked really pleased with himself as if it was his tactics which won the match, when in reality is was the lack of our finishing.

I think Bournemouth were actually far better tactically going forward, but their keeper cost them a point.

But that is football, we robbed 3 points from derby this year with just the 1 chance in the game - swings and roundabouts.

- Do find the old 'we don't hate leicester' attitude fairly funny though considering the chants you sung about us, as well as chanting Troy Deeney (we didn't sing Kevin Phillips at watford)

Build a bonfire, put derby on top, put the the Leicester in the middle and burn the fvcking lot,

We hate derby county, we hate Leicester too. They're sh!t

We'll never be mastered by you Leicester b@stards

We seen you cry on the telly

Did you cry when Deeney scored

Then you booed Morgan who we thought you all loved

Any more I've missed?

Must admit the penalty miss pretty much killed my enthusiasm although did still sing a bit.

Ours tend to give up when we go a goal behind.

Not like the fans would be most needed then.

Do they not realise 3 4 or 5-0 up they don't need so much help.

Same old Leicester, always cheating.

Ironic considering the dirty play, fouling and time wasting from their lot

That is funny as fvck.

They don't care about us but watch our games.

Would rather stick pins in my eyes that watch them the sheep or chaventry in a game we are not playing in.

Praps someone should post our live kick off times on that shite forum they use.

We would not want them to miss any of our games lol lol lol lol

Was pretty sure I heard we love you get a good airing after Forest scored the first, not so much after the second.

One song thats gonna help.

Hardly an atmosphere is it.

How about like chelskie used to do.

Sing Chelsea chelsea chelsea for a whole 45 mins.

Used to drive you fvcking mad but they were backing there team.

And for longer than 45 seconds.

People make me laugh, talking like Leicesters home fans are quiet, and crap, yes at times we are, but not all the time, and still a lot better than most.

Some need to listen to home crowds on away days, derby hardly heard a peep, Doncaster the same, the list goes on.

We are not the best but that's modern football, it's all about away days for a good sing song.

And as for the forest game, we were the loudest I have heard for along time, for the first twenty minutes, and if the game wasn't over at half time I'm sure it would have continued, use the argument the game wasn't over at half time, but most watching knew It was, and after the penalty miss, a lot gave up.

Then getting to the leaving early, with a crowd of 30,000 plus, losing two nil and not playing well, I don't blame anyone for disappearing early to miss the traffic, as many travel from far and wide, or have better things to do than sit in traffic.

Posted

Others being shit doesn't excuse a poor effort from us.

Sorry dan get used to it the days of great atmospheres are long gone, the odd game might be good, but a large percentage don't want to know.

Saying that the man city game should be good, always better when underdogs, and man city fans are good, and no pressure we are expected to lose.

I meant that it was sung to drown out the Forest cheering, it started up while they were still celebrating the goal to try and motivate our players, it didn't work, but it is better than grumbling. Admittedly I don't remember it being sung after their second.
