Captain... Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Sam Bailey is one of the contestants on, and favourite to win, X Factor. She hails from Leicester and seems to have gathered a lot of support from the players, too. Stringer and Young have also lended support to her and so I presume she had invited them along. I really don't see a problem with what he's done. Seems like people's assertions of him seem to shroud anything he does, regardless of what that thing is. OK, It was pretty cringe worthy, if they had introduced him as a radio presenter it would make more sense him geeing up the crowd, but I have no idea what the whole potatoes thing was about, it was just a bit weird.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Waghorn probably gave it her as a gift. she should be so lucky.
john doe Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Why have I seen Milwall fans on twitter posting pics of her in a lions shirt? She's just milking the football fans, and to great effect. It's a popularity game and the BBC RL lads have been hook-lined! because she comes from bexley village south london
lcfc1994 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Yeah, probably only cringey because we know who he is.
KFS Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 because she comes from bexley village south london She's cleverly associated herself with LCFC though hasn't she, there's no denying that. So her husband and kids are City fans but she supports Miiiiiiiiiiii?
Finnaldo Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 She's cleverly associated herself with LCFC though hasn't she, there's no denying that. So her husband and kids are City fans but she supports Miiiiiiiiiiii? She might just support both. Her dad's a leicester fan as well isn't he?
KFS Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 She might just support both. Her dad's a leicester fan as well isn't he? Ask Alan Young
FuriousFox46 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 The worst part was him nodding his head and saying "decent" when Sharon said he could come over. Oh and the potato bit. It was car-crash television.I'm not Stringer's biggest fan, he comes across as arrogant and sensationalist, which is why he blocked me on Twitter but I don't know him, he may just be an arse in the media or think he needs to adapt his persona for radio and television. Who knows. Either way, horribly embarrassing - even left me red-faced.
Larry_LCFC Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 She's cleverly associated herself with LCFC though hasn't she, there's no denying that. So her husband and kids are City fans but she supports Miiiiiiiiiiii? Tbf, she did play for Leicester City ladies aswell.
LCFC FOX Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Blocked my mate on Twitter earlier so I beg to differ what did he say ?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I thought Sam had a season ticket here? She does, from what I gather she's originally from London but she's been in Leicester for a while.
Bert Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 She does, from what I gather she's originally from London but she's been in Leicester for a while. It's pretty obvious to tell that she's not from Leicester though isn't it? But yeah, she's been here for over a decade apparently.
1972 Fox Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 He's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I know that and I'm certain he does too. Of course everyone is going to have an opinion, but he's the best commentator/reporter we've had since Foulger. Are you being serious that Foulger was a good commentator? He couldn't pronounce his H's!
Kitchandro Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Are you being serious that Foulger was a good commentator? He couldn't pronounce his H's! Proper Leicester fan then.
Bert Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Are you being serious that Foulger was a good commentator? He couldn't pronounce his H's!Jonathan Ross can't pronounce R's but he's not doing too bad for himself as a talk show host.
Guest Col city fan Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Jonathan Ross can't pronounce R's but he's not doing too bad for himself as a talk show host. ... Makes me think of that Episode of Only Fools and Horses... Tony Angelino and his medley of 'Wock and Woll'! Cwwwwying!!!
JonnyBoy Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 it was going so well until he said 'potatoes' in what i can only describe as a strained irish accent
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 November 2013 Posted 20 November 2013 Stringer is welcome at my house for Xmas day. I always need someone to wash the dishes up afterwards. He can even share the dog's dinner, if he doesn't mind getting bitten. Maybe not. I don't want to infect the dog.

Captain... Posted 22 November 2013 Posted 22 November 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU34qecwdxk It's worse each time I watch it, first, he looks so awkward and uncomfortable, then the peace sign, what the fvck was that all about, geeing up the crowd was ok, but then he calls her Mrs O, talks over her saying hello, then asks the most banal question ever seemingly just to make some weird pronunciation of "potatoes", which I still don't understand. 2/10 for Stringer.
Banks Posted 22 November 2013 Posted 22 November 2013 Why does he keeping calling himself a 'lad', utter clown
Unabomber Posted 22 November 2013 Posted 22 November 2013 Got about 30 seconds in then I thought to myself why am I doing this to myself, I wouldn't strap myself in and waterboard myself would I?
