The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Is it too early for this thread? There's only one game before it. Looking on their forum and their December fixture list thread they genuinely seem to have forgot they're in a quarter final. I know they have their eyes on bigger things. Most of their fans are much more worried about fielding the strongest possible line up for their matchv arsenal on Saturday (made better for us with arsenal currently winning today) Oh perhaps not! They also seem to have given up hope on beating Munich on Tuesday and want a 2nd string out for that in preparation for Saturday. I'd be much more confident if we weren't on the back of 2 straight defeats. Clearly a lot confidence wise will depend on the Burnley result Saturday. I'm not trying to detract from Saturdays game which is probably more important, its just ive just finished reading City's forum.

Monsell1976 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Expect to get beat, don't care if we get beat. It's all about the league and coming out of this game with no injuries.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'm going to make a Chatlton at home pre match then
Fox92 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 They might seem to forget about this competition, and I know they have Bayern followed by Arsenal prior to us, but surely they view this as a chance to win something early on.
Munshi Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 A little. Lets concentrate on our league form first. The team need to concentrate on their league form, not us.

jonthefox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 The team need to concentrate on their league form, not us. You know what i meant.

Youd have thought so. The only mention on their forum about the league cup (and it wasnt even In reference to us) was some chap belittling it and saying he can't even remember the official title of it anymore.

This has got to be good news for us then. The less of a shit they give the better. I can't see the team feeling that way though.

I can't see the team feeling that way though.Well that's it. No matter who they're playing and in what their away fans are usually up for it. Their players won't be complacent either though you'd expect us to raise our game too.Im hoping for a few injuries and red cards tuesday and saturday
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 How about a burnley pre match thread first
Kitchandro Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 We should expect to get beat but I can't believe the apathy from some people. Do you realise that if we win this we'll be in the semi finals of the league cup? If they don't take this seriously they need shooting. Worrying about injuries should not be the attitude for an occasion like this. The stadium is going to be packed and I expect, nay, demand a full blooded performance. If someone gets injured well I'm afraid that's football. It can easily happen in a league match or training. Or in your own home.

It wont matter who they put out our fans and players will be well up for it. You can't blame me for hoping for any advantage though.
Happy Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 One game at a time lets beat Burnley first and get back in our rightful place top 2, then we concentrate all our efforts in beating Manchester City.
Stadt Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I don't want to see a weakened side for this, however I will expect NigeyP to make some changes.
Donut Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 There will no doubt be some changes for the game, but there will be a real positive intent in the game from us, no one will be coasting through this one. Its the later stages of a major trophy
Tincy Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Couldn't give a shit about this, our concentration needs to be on the league!
AndWhat? Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Want to see a full strength team for this, Leicester winning the league cup will not be the biggest shock ever. Would mean playing in Europe! I was too young to go away last time but would literally do anything for a weekend away in Germany or Poland watching Leicester, would probably take that over promotion!

I can assure you Vienna was no picnic for the red star game, and the coach trip to Madrid was horrendous. Take promotion!
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Nige won't be judged on what we achieve in the league cup
Foxes1 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I can assure you Vienna was no picnic for the red star game, and the coach trip to Madrid was horrendous. Take promotion! Agreed I was in Vienna that night and looked as though most of the Serbs who live in Vienna turned up.
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Couldn't give a shit about this, our concentration needs to be on the league! It's the quarter final! How can you not care?! I can understand people being less interested than me but to dismiss it totally just seems wrong, semi final within reach and all that. What if we did go through, would you still be so apathetic about the competition?
Devonfox1884 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Couldn't give a shit about this, our concentration needs to be on the league! A 5-0 defeat wouldn't be good for moral would it?! It could affect our league form!!
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Absolutely amazed that there are people who aren't bothered about this. Simply stunned.
