Simonb Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 5-2 defeat for me Id like to see this starting line up Schmeichel Wasyl Miguel Morgan Schlupp Hammond James King Dyer Nuge GTF Rest RDL (just returned from injury) Moore(jus returned from bench) Konch Drinky Knocky and Vardy(got a knock on saturday) for saturday As long as there are no injuries or extra time, not fussed about this one If we need to chase the game, we can revert to a 3 5 2 or 3 4 3 pushing Schlupp forward and bring Wasyl more central Only problem is, although QPR is our big game and more important, You can guarantee every one of the lads will want to play in this one and you don't want to cause too much disruption as a manager sitting some of the better, and more deserving players like drinky, knocky and more for instance on the bench
GingerrrFox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I wouldn't be surprised to see a return of the 3-5-2. Schmeichel Wasilewski Morgan Miquel RDL Dyer Drinkwater James King Nugent Schlupp Man City will play 4-4-2 as usual this season. Hart Richards Demichelis Lescott Kolarov Milner Garcia Rodwell Nasri Jovetic Dzeko
Dan Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 3-5-2 is an interesting shout actually Schmeichel Wasilewski - Morgan - Miquel De Laet ------------------------- Schlupp James - Drinkwater Knockaert Nugent - Vardy We'd probably get battered but that's the case no matter what side we put out.
MrSpaM Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 If Milners playing we are going to get our arse's handed to us in midfield. Causes massive problems every time we play them.
Ric Flair Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Kingy will ghost in and nod one in for us, I also think Knockaert will score a freekick. They'll get 10 though.
Hollism Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Hawk eye will be used tomorrow night apparently. Capital one just tweeted the news. Positive step imo! Not for us Was going to post this in the League Cup thread but couldn't find it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25405720 I really do support Goal-Line tech, but it does seem a little odd to use it for 3 out of 4 games. A little more notice and the club could have got it installed in time. The owners lik to show they are there for the long term, don't they? Also, didn't like how the article assumes we'll get knocked out tomorrow :xmasdry: What would happen if we do get through? Surely we can't have GLT for one leg and not the other?
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I think the team should be: Schmeichel Moore Miquel Wasilewski Schlupp Knockaert James Hammond Dyer GTF Vardy
Happy Fox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Hoofball tactics will win the game, got to get into their faces.
oxtonfox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I think it could well be a record defeat for us tomorrow in the cup at least. I don't think they will get 12 like Forest did in the dark ages. I also don't think we will get much of the ball which will mean we will end up hoofing it like England always do against better opposition. Problem with this will be that we have no one up front who is fit and good enough to flick on and lay off a Kasper exocet or a Wes punt. If Kasper plays one short I guarantee one of our defenders will lose the ball to their quick players and within 5 secs it we will be in the back of our net. I think we lose on Tuesday and will also lose to QPR (heavily) to continue a miserable month. They are on a roll and are due a few goals. Let's hope we have a better Christmas than we normally do otherwise Derby will pass us in the league and Reading, Brighton, Leeds and Forest will close in on us further. Sorry to be such a miserable *o* but that's what I think
oxtonfox Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I think the team should be: Schmeichel Moore Miquel Wasilewski Schlupp Knockaert James Hammond Dyer GTF Vardy I got a feeling Moore, King and Vardy will definitely start. NP should play his near best team for this one to give us the remotest of chances. So Knocy, Dyer and Nuge or GTF should start alongside JV. It has to be 4-4-2 as we will get mullered any other way. So I'd stick Hammond in alongside King though James or Drinky would be OK. Back 4? I'd use Miquel, Was, Moore and Konch and maybe give Wes a rest for Saturday. Subs - who have we got who can change a game now?
MrSpaM Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Subs - who have we got who can change a game now? Conrad!

Father Ted Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I can see us scoring a couple tomorrow but will Man City outscore us? Our defence really doesn't fill me with too much confidence at the moment.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 If we lose by less than three goals does that mean were better than Arsenal? :xmascool: Yes, that's right. :xmaslaugh:
Soup Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I just had a dream that we we're losing 4-0,but we all just kept singing. All the classics, and even a deafening and slow When your Smiling.
Leicesterpool Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I'd rest Vardy tomorrow, I don't think this will be his type of game anyone agree?
Russell sprout Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 We are a good team, why do the majority think we will get hammered,we will likely lose 2-0 or 3-1,who knows, try and be abut more optimistic rather than pessimistic,a good performance will be great for morale.
Craig Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I'd rest Vardy tomorrow, I don't think this will be his type of game anyone agree? Yeah. Can't see us looking to close them down from the front tomorrow.
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I'd rest Vardy tomorrow, I don't think this will be his type of game anyone agree? I would disagree with that, although we may not need him to close people down, our main threat is going to be on the counter, and to play counter-attacking football you need PACE. Vards has bags of it, that's why i don't want dyer to have a rest either, just my opinion, but i think it's the only way we could snatch something.

JonnyBoy Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 first time in a long while that if we go a goal down it wont feel shameful as we are underdogs. Recipe for a great atmosphere too. I am sitting in J2 however with the family....5 rows up
Langley Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Hawk eye will be used tomorrow night apparently. Capital one just tweeted the news. Positive step imo! Not in our game it won't.
Fox92 Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 I agree we need to get in their faces. We need to positive, determined, energetic and not afraid. It's football at the end of the day and anything can happen. That said, I'm not to confident of a surprise Leicester City victory, and I'd much rather beat QPR on Saturday if you handed it to me now. A few knocks into the goalkeeper, pushing on players and not giving them time. All that needs to be done.
Langley Posted 16 December 2013 Posted 16 December 2013 Just been watching the highlights from the FA Cup game. We have such a better squad now IMO. Still miss Bamba but still we have a much better squad. Their squad is terrifying. None of our players would make their second 11. However, it's 11 vs 11. Cliches and all that. I thought we were going to get royally bum-fuzzled in the cup game but we took them back to theirs and they were both close matches. I wouldn't like to go back to theirs this time mind. I saw a piece in Barca's paper that they're fearing Man City. We are screwed but it's going to be a good night. As long as it's less than 7-0 just remember we're not as bad as Norwich. or 6-0 and Spurs.
