Easy question really, would you like to see Waghorn have a chance in the team after a good loan spell at Millwall and try to win a new contract?

My opinion is yes. If Pearson can get his confidence up we can see him play like the Waghorn we seen when he was on loan here. If I asked this question about Vardy at the start of the season 95% of people would of said no. An inform Waghorn could make a great partnership with Vardy, Nugent or Wood. Maybe his Leicester career isn't over just yet?

Why not?

But I would like to see similar form that we saw during his loan period with us, anything short of that and he's no use to us, harsh but that's the way it is. Which leads to my questions - Have we got the time to give him that chance? Can we afford to give him a shot? He would have to hit the ground running.

He is the joint most hardworking striker at the club (with vards) he may not score that many goals, but when he's in the team, it has a better feel to it IMO. (derby at home last year being a good example) he deserves another chance, especially with wood being out.

Let's be honest if he had any chance of making it here we wouldn't have loaned him out. It's not going to happen.

In different circumstances I'd say yes. But with his contract up at the end of the season, the possibility of him leaving on a free and the fact that we could do with the extra cash, we might be better off taking a few hundred thousand if the offer came along.

Nope, I think his time is done here to be honest.  Im pretty sure he will be out the door in January or the summer.  The fact hes played for us once this season and only scored what 2 or 3 last season in 20 odd games shows hes not up to it.

Working hard doesn't win games though, scoring goals do.

Running around like a headless chicken, showing 'pashun' doesn't win games.

I swear some people would love Hume back here because he ran alot, showed 'pashun', yet got nowhere. Yes he probably was the best player in that team, but lets be honest he was the best of a bad bunch.

Funnily enough I don't want another hard working striker, I want one that will actually score, which seb will do I think. Therefore, for me its a straight decision between vards and waghorn and I much prefer Jamie

Wouldn't hurt to try him out again - you have to bare in mind he hasn't done awfully in a pretty awful Milwall side this season

- plus, lord only knows how much we could do with a naturally left footed striker

I dont recall him having a decent run in the team for quite some time, maybe give him a final go, if our strikers were in form would we be talking about Waggy?

Correct me if i'm wrong but he's scored about 1 goal for them hasn't he and even that was a consolation in a 5-1 defeat. He's the fookin bins

What was Vardy's record last season?

Posted

i would like to see him get another chance but i think his time is up we will try and claw back some revenue before his contract runs out. Cant see us getting over half a million for him which on his overall form over last 12 months would prob be lucky to get that much

When was the last time Waghorn had a 'good' season? Yes that's right 3 years ago. Not good enough for a promotion chasin team. We're being offered £750,000 for a player whose out of contract in the summer.

Only because at the moment we're short of strikers. Wood injured; Nugent way off colour; GTF not fit enough; Schlupp not a striker. Given all that, I think he's a useful option unless we're offered cash.

The timing of Wood's injury really couldn't have been worse...

highly doubt we'll get 750k for him.

He's never going to be an amazing player for us but he can be a decent option off the bench. Doubt he'd settle for that, and why should he? Can see him moving to Millwall which will be good for all parties imo

Nah.

He just doesn't cut it for me. I forget the last time he had a good game for us. Maybe last season against Bolton away?

One of those 'meh' strikers for us. Average.

A chance would be good for him. But not good for the club. It won't get us very far.
