The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 It's not a question of chance. The last opportunity he had he was arguably the best player on the park for 2 or 3 games running. Then Wood joined.
kingfox Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 Anyone want to know what I think? If it doesn't involve a sexual reference, I don't want to know.

AyewJoking Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 Easy question really, would you like to see Waghorn have a chance in the team after a good loan spell at Millwall and try to win a new contract? My opinion is yes. If Pearson can get his confidence up we can see him play like the Waghorn we seen when he was on loan here. If I asked this question about Vardy at the start of the season 95% of people would of said no. An inform Waghorn could make a great partnership with Vardy, Nugent or Wood. Maybe his Leicester career isn't over just yet? I cannot see Waghorn ever being selected over those three when fully fit. Waghorn is strictly back up only for a top ten team in this division and isnt good enough for a team who are serious about gaining promotion. We could give him a new contract to warm the bench but I thought as a club we were making wise financial decisions these days.
Captain... Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 I would love to see him get another chance here, but I don't see it happening, he's not had a look in for a year, what I don't understand is why not, when he had a spell in the side last season he looked very good, then we went dog shit and he didn't get a look in. When we were in our patch of relegation form end of last season he didn't get a chance. We know NP is a fan and I doubt it is an attitude problem with Waghorn, I just don't get it, the boy's talented and made a difference during that spell last season. What he doesn't seem to be is an impact sub, so he needs games and lots of them. We just can't offer that here as we need goals, and for all his qualities he is not prolific, he's scored twice for Millwall this season. I get annoyed with the "he's shit!" comments because he clearly isn't but I think his time here is done and if we can get money for him then we should probably take it.
Stadt Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 How many times have we tried to 'get him back to his best'? Other than a few glimpses Waghorn isn't the same raw teenager that he was when he was first here. As much as I would like Waggy to succeed I just don't think he is as good as we thought he was.
dayday Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 I would give him one more chance,on one condition that he takes his rugby boots off for his football boots.

Simonb Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 when we had him on loan, he palyed up front, then we signed him and each manager has stuck him on the wing, give him a go up fornt, if no good, get rid in june
LCFC FOX Posted 13 December 2013 Author Posted 13 December 2013 When was the last time Waghorn had a 'good' season? Yes that's right 3 years ago. Not good enough for a promotion chasin team. We're being offered £750,000 for a player whose out of contract in the summer. when did Vardy last have a good season? Where did you see we're getting offered that
Foxy harry Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 kinda felt sorry for him at the start of last season did ok should of kept his place and wouldve if wood hadnt joined so i say YES
Sharpe's Fox Posted 13 December 2013 Posted 13 December 2013 The lad needs games, and lots of them, to score goals. Bringing him in for four weeks while Wood is injured is about as pointless as bringing him on after 75 minutes; he just won't make enough of an impact.
LCFC FOX Posted 15 December 2013 Author Posted 15 December 2013 If Vardy is injured I think we will see Waggy again
MPH Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Two hardworking strikers who don't score much isn't really sounding like a promotion winning front line to me....
Stadt Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 The fact that he hasn't realised smashing the football as hard as he can every time he's in front of goal doesn't score shows that he won't change.

But hes been playing frequently for millwall so he could well hit the ground running here and keep wood or the other 2 out the side. I understand hes back with us now? Is he legible for tuesday does anyone know?
Dickov22 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 It's not going to happen. He will go to Millwall permanantly.
little Brian Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 think we need a new striker that can offer something different .tbf
Monsell1976 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Give him a couple of games before jan, and if he isn't up to it after plenty of match time, **** him off in the window
dayday Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 its a no lose situation for me,I would like to see him upfront with Vardy for a couple of games, if it does not work then fine at least we have a club prepared to buy him off us.
Winnershfox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 If back in time chuck him in alongside Vardy ON TUESDAY and lets see what he can do.!. He deserves a chance and 90 minutes.
