I dunno if it's Dutch, I think it's Franco-Belgian, but I know when all those English words starting with k (like knife and knight) came from the old Norman French, we used to pronounce the hard K, like for Knockaert, and over time we dropped it over here. It comes from the Frankish languages originally, I think.

Finished, obviously didn't work :(

Heard shouting from downstairs, but it was just my Mum celebrating Watford's goal, then crying after they conceded through Col's best mate.

Really wish Stringer would stop saying K-nockaert. The K is silent you douche bag.

Really wish people would stop using American terms  (douche bag)

Germanic consonant cluster; the sound is still evident in most sister languages but in English it has been reduced to "n-" in standard pronunciation since before 1750, and for about a century before that it had been pronounced hn-, dn-, tn-. It was fully voiced in Old and Middle English.

Fwiw when I say his name, I just say nock-art. I feel like a pillock saying anything else, I am English after all.

Who cares?

No injuries. Out the cup. Got a goal for the travelling fans to cheer. Perfect. Now let's focus on the league.

I believe Knockaert said it was Dutch in origin in an early interview but I might be wrong.
