Alexikokopops Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Wonder if pubs in London will screen this? Is there a bigger sporting event at same time? Stags head on new Cavendish Street will, the landlord is a Leicester fan and is normally packed for games. Beat me to it. I'd be joining you there if I wasn't off out of London this weekend. I went there with Fez (off here) once and both Anneka Rice AND Barbara Windsor were having a drink there. If you're lucky maybe you'll get another 90s icon. I'm hoping for Richard O'Brien next time I make it.
Higgsy Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 So upset I'm working until 8 tonight, a word of warning to anyone in the Northampton area, I'll be driving like a nutter to get home to watch it

I am looking forward to this though - terrific atmosphere in there last time, you don't go there for the range of craft beers or ales but its a good old fashioned boozer with character.
Bert Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Been nervous about this since last night. Have a horrible feeling that we're not even going to score
Happy Fox Posted 10 January 2014 Author Posted 10 January 2014 A chance to go 7 points clear would be absolutely massive, and a real dent to our nearest challengers, we can put down a marker as a title contenders, which we have shown we are capable of doing. We are going to f**king win, we have the players to do it, there is absolutely no reason that we cannot smash the sheepshaggers, they haven't played any top teams yet.
DanTheFox07 Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Time to lay down a marker for the rest of the League, start as we mean to go on for the rest of this season
lcfc1994 Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Derby are still a mid table side, on their unbeaten run they didn't play anyone in the top 8 (apart from Blackpool who are in freefall) Come on Leicester lets put them in their place. 4-0!
mhs123 Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Really looking forward to going tonight with my lads, been to some great games with the shaggers and dare i say we normally come out on top, come on Leicester.

We're 24 games into the season - they've played everyone else at least once already. They didn't play any of the top teams in their unbeaten run, which makes the run itself slightly less impressive - yet they still had those tough fixtures earlier in the season and did well enough out of them to justify 4th place at this stage. Don't underestimate them, by any means. Derby are as good a side as we're likely to come up against this season, and totally deserve their place as automatic contenders. This is gonna be far from easy.
Unabomber Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Not sure if this has been posted, but it's a decent read. Although not sure about the sell out part. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2536757/East-Midlands-Derby-Leicester-Nottingham-Forest-look-return-Premier-League.html
Bluetintedspecs Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Been nervous about this since last night. Have a horrible feeling that we're not even going to score Take some deep breaths Bert, we will beat these tonight and lay down the marker I've been banging on about

Jobyfox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Well not really. They were 14th before they went on their run. Er... yes really. The points is they have played everyone in the division and are 4th on merit. Even though we've lost to Doncaster, Charlton and Sheff Wednesday we have played everyone in the division and are 1st on merit. When, how or where we beat people is immaterial at the end of May. That's not metioning that Derby are the highest scorers in the division and also have the best away record.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Who else is feeling this tingling sensation leading up to this match? I'm a fair bit excited, not just because I can watch us on TV this time, but also because it feels like an eternity since the last league game. Only 7 1/2 more hours to go...
Jobyfox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Yes I am. This is a game where we could lay down a marker and make a statement. Consolidate our position at the top and open up a 7 point gap over the rest, whilst denting the hopes of a promotion rival at the same time. Add in the fact that it’s a local rival. It has all the ingredients of a game to send a tingle. But from bitter experience of following LCFC for many years it’s got all the criteria for an inevitable defeat! Far Post Gerry Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 He is surely the 80s...unless im living in a time warp I used to do a pub quiz with Neil Morrissey in Highgate, but we're probably getting off topic. 2-0 City
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Been nervous about this since last night. Have a horrible feeling that we're not even going to score I have the same thought though was relying on your lot's confidence behind me to rub off. Thanks.

Plenty of goals in the side and we conceded three to an average performing Bolton side.

Plenty of goals in the side and we conceded three to an average performing Bolton side.Agree Corky, defensively we were asleep for the Bolton goals. However tonight I think we will be massively up for the game and putting our stamp on Top place. Not underestimating them or thinking it will be easy, I just personally feel we will have too much for them tonight!COYB
Bert Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Think people are missing the point... They'd played the "big" teams and weren't sat anywhere near where they are now. We've been around the top all season, that's not to say they should be under estimated though. They haven't beaten anyone in the top 6 and only Leeds and Brighton in the top 10.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Good luck to Leicester tonight for a City win
stockyfox Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 When it comes to 'Leicester City Football Club' v Derby County', there is no comparison Put simply, Derby are not in the same street as Leicester In fact, they are not even in the same town And, come to think ot if, they are not even in the same county.
Kitchandro Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 Been nervous about this since last night. Have a horrible feeling that we're not even going to score My videos obviously had no effect on you Personally I'm gagging for this, these are the kind of matches we should relish looking forward to. My weekend starts in 4 hours and I can't wait.
Alexikokopops Posted 10 January 2014 Posted 10 January 2014 He is surely the 80s...unless im living in a time warp Not during his seminal performances in the unstoppable Crystal Maze
