Leicesterpool Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I surprised Mike hasn't refereed in any world cup yet?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Happy simply just because of this: https://vine.co/v/hYHM2WgxvgA Haha! How come that's not big news? Doesn't seem particularly professional!
StanSP Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Haha! How come that's not big news? Doesn't seem particularly professional! on the day it kind of did (not massive news, mind). When I was searching on Google, I noticed he also apparently celebrated a Louis Saha goal vs Arsenal. Then went on to read he's refereed 12 Arsenal games and they've only won once. Make of that what you will!
Narborough_fox Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I quite like Mike Dean, much better than some of the Premier League referees who come down a division to do the bigger games/games on TV.
Lionator Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 on the day it kind of did (not massive news, mind). When I was searching on Google, I noticed he also apparently celebrated a Louis Saha goal vs Arsenal. Then went on to read he's refereed 12 Arsenal games and they've only won once. Make of that what you will! There was a good 3rd eye clip of him a few years back at Wolves where he played an advantage and the ball immediately went in and he wheeled away doing the advantage signal which made it look like he was celebrating. Absolute genius.
Corky Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 He's been good, kept Konchesky out of the book when Goodman was crying for a yellow.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 18 January 2014 Author Posted 18 January 2014 Hes been fine so far? You what??? Let that thug brown get away with everything and blown every time we touch them
Carl the Llama Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Can see why he's been dropped down a league - terribly inconsistent decision making and he seems afraid to penalise the home team.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Everything in the first half was a free kick. Seemed reluctant to get his card out (Konchesky should have had a yellow). Then second half from the off it was like he was suddenly allowed to give cards out. All three were very harsh that he gave to us yet nothing for them. I was just glad that he didn't buy McCormack's dive in the box - no yellow for that however! Even with the stoppage time he should have played about 4.5 minutes rather than just the 4.. not that I was complaining! But he was poor, even if not disastrous.
Father Ted Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 How did he not send Byram off for that tackle?
JonnyBoy Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 thought overall he had a good game IMO despite giving free kicks to silly niggling fouls
jammie82uk Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Typical mike dean performance not sure how Nugent got away with his lash out near the beginning tho
C-man Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I thought he contributed to the game being utter toss. Complete polar opposite to last week's ref. Shame that this is the type of egotistical fvcktard we'll have to get used to next season (fingers crossed) because I bet in an assessor's mind Dean ticked more boxes than the chap (Coote?) against Derby.
LCCFox96 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 It always has and always will amaze me as to how and why mike dean is a 'premiership' referee. He rarely has a good game.
Bettsj2 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 He was making contradictory decisions all game within seconds of each other. It was quite embarrasing really. Prime example close to the end of the first half, Vardy was obstructed running for a ball, ended up on the deck, 20 seconds later, James did the same to Stewart and a free kick was given. So many examples like the above for both sides through the game. Really does seem to be the more well known the ref is, the worse they are.
Jonezy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I would like to thank Mr. Dean for only 4 minutes of injury time despite 4 subs (Leeds used both their subs at the same time) and 2 delays (Moore and the c*nt Brown). Apart from that, he was too whistle happy and felt a bit homey giving Leeds most of what they wanted.
coatsworthstache Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Could easily have booked konchesky in the first half but kept his card in his pocket. Didn't really get a grip on that cockhat brown. But then brown showed himself diving in a physical battle with 5ft 6 knockeart. Shame on you brown.
Harry - LCFC Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Kept giving fouls for the smallest of things. Not how I want to see the game refereed.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Was at least a 6/7 out of ten game. Didnt get too much wrong and hes still better than Howard Webb I think. Had a poor game at Norwich yesterday
