The Horse's Mouth Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I'm sure people will laugh at this but I'd love to see us sign Bendtner up top.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I'm sure people will laugh at this but I'd love to see us sign Bendtner up top. He has struggled to score regularly for years for an Arsenal side that create shit loads of chances, imagine how bad he'd be in team likely to be under the kosh a lot more.
dmayne7 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 LB - Ryan Bertrand (loan) Winger - Luciano Narsingh Defensive midfielder - Etienne Capoue Striker - Stefano Okaka-Chucka Centre back - Steven Caulker (after Cardiff get relegated) Capoue is off to Napoli so good luck with that and Okaka?! Really? His record is very poor and last year he was on loan in Siere B and only scored 7 goals so unless he's had a brilliant season this year, he's nowhere near good enough. We've got some decent young strikers so I'd rather go big and get a proven goalscorer in.

Ever seen him play for Denmark? Because he's bloody good for them. He's barely played for Arsenal in the last few years and in his very limited chances this year he's scored a couple. He's a much better player than he was a few years ago. Plus, you know he's not going to lack for confidence with some of the things he comes out with

Plus, you know he's not going to lack for confidence with some of the things he comes out with I've seen him play for Denmark, but I also say Vassell play for England and Villa, so I know good international performances aren't always a measure of the club player. He's been out on loan at Sunderland and Juventus in the last couple of years an produced nothing. 8 in 28 for Sunderland and 0 in 9 for Juventus. Also I'm not sure Bendtner's cocky nature will fit in with the type of person Pearson normally signs.

Also I'm not sure Bendtner's cocky nature will fit in with the type of person Pearson normally signs. But Bendtner's international record is much better than Vassell's (which wasn't bad). He averaged 1 in 3 for a mediocre Sunderland side which is pretty decent and at Juve he was injured and they often only played with 1 striker. I do understand people's concerns but depending on who is available in the summer, he could be a good addition.
KFS Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Imagine Steve Walsh with 40 million to spend Aaron Cresswell, Scott Parker, Steven N'Zonzi, Filip Djordjevic, Scott Sinclair. This is basically my first Prem season signings on Fifa haha
conLAD logan Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 looking at teams like hull in the Prem, you can see that many of their players are from their promotion winning team in the championship and i believe it is something we will need the mainly do aswell. we need to strengthen at lb, in midfield and up front imo. i think the signings should be a mixture of top championship level players and prem players that aren't really getting enough time.

Anyway I think my final point is the real reason we'd never sign him, he's a ****, he's been arrested about 3 times, and is that arrogant kind of confident Pearson just won't stand for. He'd be the Danish Beckford.

Buzzell Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 You're joking I hope? Nope, I think he's 100% serious unfortunately
Happy Fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Cleverly/ Osman for me either one of those two would be ideal in that central midfield.
MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Apart from all the previous suggestions, which are ultimately leading to more depth in squad, we should also consider acquiring a better backup goalkeeper.
KFS Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Imagine getting hold of: Cleverly, Naughton, James Vaughan. All previously played for Leicester and want to play at the highest level. IF we got up, may I add.

IF we got up, may I add. The top two would be great, especially considering that Cleverly would have played with or know Drinkwater from the Man U academy. That would be a great pairing. Naughton again would be a great addition but I don't think Vaughan could cut it in the Prem.
Foxy harry Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 if cardiff go down we should lookm at gary medel we need a grudge player in midfield
Bryn Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Those of you thiinking we will spend over £30m are in for a bit of a shock I think. Be under £20m I reckon. It'll be a mixture of cheap/out of contract European players and two or three £5m+ players. We will need recruits all over the pitch. Certainly, I'd say a goalie, a fullback on either side, a centreback, a left winger, a steely centre mid and a goalscoring striker.
foxfanazer Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Mark Noble Anthony Pilkington Naughton Lescott (unlikely) Weimann Just a few names I'd like to see. Important to have a strong spine to the team
Isle of Wight Fox 86 Posted 20 January 2014 Author Posted 20 January 2014 I liked the look of Ashley Williams at Swansea yesturday, but I can't see him coming unless they get relegated. Others I could be interested in could be Sunderlands Westwood.
indierich06 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 If we go up, you can bet Steve Walsh will have plenty of previously-unheard-of players who will come in and do the business.
Bert Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Wouldn't be surprised if we were to try and sign Rickie Lambert.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 if cardiff go down we should lookm at gary medel we need a grudge player in midfield He's a CB isnt he? well Ive seen cardiff a few times on tv this season and he's been cb for those games Plus he cost cardiff about £11m....
