chili_con_carne Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 We lose tomorrow and it is far from over. Let's be honest
Brooksy Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 We win tomorrow and it's 12. Why so negative?
Voll Blau Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT!!!!!! JUST NINE POINTS?!?!?! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOONER?!?!?!
Native Fox Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Just? I'd have taken that at the start of the season! It only feels bad because of how many we were ahead. In reality we haven't done anything to cause this apart from draw a game, no biggy.
DennisNedry Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Would take a point tomorrow to take us into 2 must-win home games.
Stadt Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 How has Pearson let this lead slip? He's just not WINNER enough!
Deucalion Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 If we lose tomorrow, I can see some people taking it quite badly !! Many a twist and turn until the end of this season, and I doubt we are going to have everything all our own way. I think we will scrape enough points to be in the top two, but it will be harder from here on in. Nothing is decided yet.
MC Prussian Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Oh look, there's other teams in the Championship.
CKB Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Yeah who said it was over? don't people know how this league works??We will drop pointsOther teams will winIt's far from over, yes we are in a great position but things can change.....
johnny the fox Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Christ, its panic stations, Ive shat myself, nowt we can do without actually playing.
fuchsntf Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Only...bloody ONLY...Are dark thoughts forming in that pesemistic jelly between your shoulders. So city are going to collapse cos we are ONLY 9 points ahead..... Speachless .....what length so called fans go to, to spread doubt. We lose tomorrow...if you can do maths...is still 9 points. To be honest!!!!!!!
CosbehFox Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Just? I'd have taken that at the start of the season! It only feels bad because of how many we were ahead. In reality we haven't done anything to cause this apart from draw a game, no biggy. Exactly I thought we went as high as 11 ahead? So we are now 9 ahead with a game in hand. I don't really see the difference?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Could have been worse, we haven't played a match for 10 days... teams around us have played and dropped points... it is still good I wouldn't panic yet.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Yeah who said it was over? don't people know how this league works?? We will drop points Other teams will win It's far from over, yes we are in a great position but things can change..... Other teams also drop points while we win, it will be difficult for anyone to catch us. Not impossible though, but we are in a great position.
cambridgefox Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Fook me we have just got 28pts out of 30pts.When was the last time someone bettered that in this league. When they have caught us up i panic.
Corky Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Exactly I thought we went as high as 11 ahead? So we are now 9 ahead with a game in hand. I don't really see the difference? We were 11 ahead but the three teams below us have all played twice since we last did, it was inevitable they were going to pick up points (I'd take this gap after the matches they played tbh). Could've looked like this: Burnley 62 QPR 62 Derby 55 You'd take: Burnley 60 Derby 58 QPR 56
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 OH my cunting days - only 9 points clear with a game in hand over third? I'd be biting my nails if I had any nails and/or teeth
Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Only 9 points and a game in hand.....shocking!
CosbehFox Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 We were 11 ahead but the three teams below us have all played twice since we last did, it was inevitable they were going to pick up points (I'd take this gap after the matches they played tbh). Aye and to think there was concern in myself that the lead could be as low as 5 by this point.
Mark_from_USA Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Derby really put the fear of God into Leicester with their thumping win at Wednesday tonight. Pearson must be thinking "how did we ever run them off the pitch - they're so tough". To be honest, I'm not sure how Leicester managed such a solid win. Derby are really the class of the division. You know, I can see them in my rear view mirror now: I'm quaking in me boots.....

We will drop points Other teams will win It's far from over, yes we are in a great position but things can change..... Thats right, but its going to take 8 results for 2nd to catch us
CKB Posted 18 February 2014 Posted 18 February 2014 Other teams also drop points while we win, it will be difficult for anyone to catch us. Not impossible though, but we are in a great position. That is true but it's very easy to go 11 games unbeaten to 11 games without a win.. Yes we have at times demolished teams (Derby at home springs to mind) but we have also had luck aswell in our 11 game unbeaten run (Leeds, Bournemouth) which could have resulted to a loss or a draw especially the Leeds game where if they had took chances it could have been a totally different story Basically what i am saying is any team on the day can beat anyone and sometimes luck helps which we have had, you can't take anyone for granted in this league! You can be 1 goal away from a win in this league and 1 away from a loss.. I had that mindset i would take it game by game and i ain't gonna get carried away yet
