QPR to start a run, Harry can still haunt us..

I definitely can't see QPR getting automatic promotion, no matter what kind of run they go on. I do think, however, that they would have the edge if they ended up in the Play-Off Final because of the experience in the team. They might scrape sixth, scrape through the semi-finals, and then wallop wigan or forest at Wembley and "Arry will be a hero despite not playing the Championship game this year.

Good post: A nice double whammy of an intelligent article and silly QPR apologisers.  Such as:

As said not just Austin, Matty Phillips, Simpson, Faurlin,Kranjcar,Johnson, add to that Barton suspended.Hoilet hampered by hamstring problem. No other side in the championship could cope.Look at Forest yesterday few players out 4-1 home defeat. That coupled with some players gambled with who are not upto it. Leicester have probably spent more than us but for whatever reason both the press and other fans would rather continue the big spending QPR myth whilst ignoring those clubs that have spent a lot more. If we get players back and fit and we didn’t make it then the post mortem might be justified

I wasn't aware Krancjar was injured, must be fairly recent - he's played every time I've watched QPR this season and, like a lot of the Forest injuries, can hardly be used as an excuse for their poor performances.  What really draws a chuckle though is the "Leicester have probably spent more... big spending QPR myth" line.  It's not a myth that they were one of the biggest spenders in the PREMIER LEAGUE last year, and have gone on to bring in stupidly expensive players(for this level) like Assou-Ekotto, it's footballing fact - sort of like the fact that calling Nigel Pearson's Leicester "big spending" makes you look like a clueless twat.

I do think with Austin not injured they would be up there. Barton suspended isn't bad luck though, it's common knowledge he's that sort of player.

Was it not Austin who failed a medical in the summer due to a shoulder problem?

It's just embarrassing. It's such a ridiculous level of denial it's unreal. It's like me saying we've spent less than Barnsley but no-one picks on those anti-christs.

A pearl of wisdom from Harry's past - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20828024

Glad to see he's worked to rectify the situation, oh wait...

lol

No-one, literally no-one else would get away with saying that before spending £18mi and what, £150k a week? On Samba & Remy, before still going down.

Unbelievable.

That is absolutely brilliant. Comedy Gold. Were only 5 points from safety as well? Hardly the down and out job some were claiming.

Have a look at the "related articles" at the bottom of the page as well lol

To be fair the first one was quite funny, the second one not quite as much, now they are too long and almost unreadable.

To be fair on paper we're almost as screwed as they are. The accounts tell us that both clubs had to put their houses in order this season. We did, they didn't.

The Evening Standard were reporting that QPR were "set for a £40 million fine" which is pure speculation. Whilst I'd wager that the loss will be similar next year to this given the drop in revenue it's complete speculation.

Their attendances can't help I suspect.

Doesn't Loftus Road only hold c.19k when full?

To be paying such big wages to a big squad in such a small ground is pretty barmy.

Official capacity is 18,360, Col. That's why Fernandes wants to move to a new ground - but unless they can get and keep PL status, that could be a poison chalice.

Loftus Road doesn't limit their attendance particularly. Average attendance this season is below 17,000 so there probably aren't that many who have missed out from a lack of tickets. Building a 40k stadium is beyond stupid IMO, no way do they need that much more space.
