Fox92 Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 This is one of the reasons I hate snakes. Look at their ability to eat whole, it's scary. And if they don't want to do that, they chose to bite or strangle you.
purpleronnie Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/australiaandpacific/australia/10672439/Snake-eats-crocodile-in-battle-at-Australian-lake.html How does the snake digest a croc? they have special cells which breakdown even the most complex parts of an animal, even their bone.
Zingari Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 In fairness, 3 ft is a small croc. yea , fun size really.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 yea , fun size really. it's the light bite that doesn't fill you up
Zingari Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 it's the light bite that doesn't fill you up only the crumbliest flakiest croclet , tastes like croclets never tasted before i think that snake is a crocaholic
OzFox Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 Reminds me of that snake in Florida that burst after trying to swallow an alligator. Bit off more than it could chew, so to speak
AyewJoking Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 did the croc attack the snake? it would be funny if the snake strangled the croc then ate him just to prove a point.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I'm Somewhat bemused as to why this is massive news, a Croc aint that big, pretty sure I've herd reports of larger snakes swallowing animals the size of Deer's before.
ozleicester Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Lost in his back yard http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/northern-territory-man-jason-calls-cops-after-getting-lost-in-his-own-backyard-with-mumbles-the-dog/story-fnhnv0wb-1226846228606
lcfc1994 Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Reminds me of that snake in Florida that burst after trying to swallow an alligator. Bit off more than it could chew, so to speak Why would it attempt this? Surely an alligator is not part of its normal diet so why the sudden change?
OzFox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Why would it attempt this? Surely an alligator is not part of its normal diet so why the sudden change? Burmese pythons are an invasive species in Florida. Apparently they've eaten most of the raccoons so there's probably not much left in there for a large snake to tuck into
ozleicester Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Just another day down under http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/lifestyle/health/rod-sommerville-sank-a-cold-beer-after-bite-by-deadly-eastern-brown/story-fni0diad-1226849922618 A QUEENSLAND man has reacted to a deadly snake bite in the most Australian way — by grabbing a cold beer from the fridge. Rod Sommerville, 54, thought he was going to “cark it†last month when he was nipped on the finger by an eastern brown snake while moving pot plants around his backyard. The Yeppoon man smacked the backyard dweller on the head with a shovel and called for an ambulance. Then he grabbed a XXXX Gold from the fridge and sat down, because “if you panic if you make it worseâ€, the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin reports. Picture: News Corp Australia Source: News Corp Australia The newspaper reported that Mr Somerville did not wake his teenage son, who was snoozing on the couch, because he didn’t want to a cause a scene. “I said to myself, if I’m going to cark it I’m going to have a beer,†he told the newspaper. So I got a Goldie out of the fridge and drank that.†He was whisked to hospital for treatment but his ordeal spiralled further when he suffered an allergic reaction to the antivenom. “The reaction nearly killed me as well, so it was a double whammy,†he said. Edit. I once saw Spike Milligan on stage and his opening line was... "Its so good to be here, i really mean that, ive just come from Yeppoon, the worlds only above ground cemetary"
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 In fairness if I thought I was going to die pretty quickly I would probably grab a frothie from the fridge too.
Vlad the Fox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Reminds me of that snake in Florida that burst after trying to swallow an alligator. Bit off more than it could chew, so to speak That looks like some sick Victorian experiment gone wrong. 'Ladies and gentlemen prepare to be shocked, for I present to you the amazing croconake...' Slurp, pop, slurp bang 'what the queen Vic's bloomers has gone on there?'
cambridgefox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 A man walks into a pub with a crocodile ,puts his c@ck in its mouth and whacks it over the head with a big stick. The crocodile inhales sharply making the man go cross eyed and getting a thrill. " anybody else want a go?" He shouts across the pub. " me" said a frail old man."but don't hit me over the head so hard!"

Picture: News Corp Australia Source: News Corp Australia Now this is a snake you don't want to be tagged by,probably the 2 nd most venomous land snake in the world after the inland Taipan also from Oz,however your Eastern or Common Brown gives a lot of dry bites( no venom) compaired to many snakes when defending as it's wasting valuable venom for prey.Lucky man. The newspaper reported that Mr Somerville did not wake his teenage son, who was snoozing on the couch, because he didn’t want to a cause a scene. “I said to myself, if I’m going to cark it I’m going to have a beer,†he told the newspaper. cambridgefox Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Fooked up my edit but would like to bore you/ show off with my Brown snake facts. Now the Eastern Brown or Common Brown which it is also known by,is a snake you don't want to be tagged by.It is probably the 2nd most venomous inland snake after the inland Taipan, also from Oz.you can be lucky the Brown snake gives a high proportion of dry bites( no venom) as it saves this for prey. The posture above is an angry Browns attack mode,'s' shaped, opened mouth and flattened neck ,it would also be hissing,it's also noted for its speed and its aggressive behaviour .Right you've just been bitten,no fang marks,no swelling,no pain don't think you've necessarily been fortunate because of these non symptoms people don't get treated and then the fun starts.First serious sign severe headache, but be quick death can occur from 2 mins to an hour if untreated.Expect a heart attack, kidneys to fail and bleeding from every hole. Any questions can be asked at the end if lessons! Oh I like venomous snake questions,I'm so sad!
