Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Friendlies are pointless I mean England are quite good at winning friendlies( sometimes) but often useless when it counts
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Do people really celebrate winning a friendly???
Raj Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Last England game i saw was v Germany wiv that Lamps no goal .Massive respect to the fans who pay good money to watch England especially friendlies. .... Even though its on itv i have no inclination to watch whatsoever. P.S...No matter what kasper does Im sure he's well known as a potentially very very good goalie already...but good luck OUR kasper!!!!
Jacnah Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 If Kasper plays i'll probably be cheering on the Danes - or at least hoping for a 0-0. Over the years my interest in England has waned. England is now more of a 'brand' than a group of players representing the Fans. Watching England is like watching a Nike advert these days... I feel absolutely no connection with people like David Beckham, Frank Lampard, John Terry or Ashley Cole. They are 'superstars' and good luck to them. But if you don't care about the players in your team, then it's quite hard to support them. Last time I felt anything for England was when I saw Scott Parker crying during the national anthem when he'd been made captain. Unfortunately, as soon as Lampard was fit he replaced Parker - most probably because Umbro wanted Lampard back in the team as he promotes the brand and sells more replica shirts than Parker. Conversely, people like Liam Moore, Andy King and Jamie Vardy I want to see do well. Probably just because I've followed their ups and downs over the years and feel more of a connection to them. I'll probably change my tune come the World Cup. But for now, COME ON YOU DANISH PASTRIIIEESSSSS... I agree with the rationale completely but never your conclusions!!
morris1234 Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Did flap a bit but did well to put Rooney off and let's face it, it was the right backs mistake for letting Rooney drop into that space so easily.
trabuch Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 I want Kasper to keep a clean sheet. It's habit forming, and I care 100 times more about LCFC than I do England.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Don't know about Kasper but '300k per week' Rooney is a fookin joke.
WinslowFox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Kasper hasn't conceded a goal for 270 minutes now!!
Xen Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Just got back (dragged to cinema by flatmates ) to see Kasper pull off that awesome save.
