Fox Ulike Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 If every there was a 'face made for radio...' “I recently climbed Ben Nevis, the biggest mountain in the UK.â€
MattyFromLE Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 He has missed out value in transfer market. Yes, because transfer value proves you're the better player, right?
yorkie1999 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think vardy will get another 10 goals this season and be the championships highest goal scorer
ealingfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 He has missed out value in transfer market. Even then, what's your point? Nugent was free and Vardy cost £1m. They've both gone down as undisclosed but I gather Ings cost £1m and Vokes around £350k... As for selling them on, well I don't think we'll be doing that, and if you lot follow us up I don't think you should either.
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I've got to respect what Ings and Vokes have done this season, I'm of the opinion Vardy and Nugent have a better side behind them than they do and I'd be interested to see the amount of good opportunities Vardy and Nugent have wasted between them, I can see Ings and Vokes having a much better conversion rate and I think that's much more important than the fact that they've put a massive 11 more tackles in over the course of 35 odd games. Bit of a silly article from Stringer.
blueonyou Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 For a professional broadcaster, he really is a poor writer.
lancyclaret Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think Ings would already be past 30 goals (without penalties) if he had Drinkwater and James behind him although Marney and Jones are pretty good also. There's talk of Saints preparing a £10 million bid for Ings, who they released as a schoolboy. Good as they are, I don't think Vardy or Nugent would command as high a fee. Ings is also 21 and yet to reach peak. Nugent and Vardy in late 20s I believe.
Foxymcoxy Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Yeah Ings would be worth a lot more but that isn't because he is so much better now. I wouldn't swap our two, that's for sure. They are perfect for our team and Burnleys are perfect for theirs.
Jon25747 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 For a professional broadcaster, he really is a poor writer. Thats a really poorly written piece. Thankfully though he has his impecible radio commentary to fall back on...
hackneyfox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Who takes the penalties for Burnley this season and how many have they scored?
lancyclaret Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Vokes is now nominated taker but Ings takes them if it is him who gets fouled. We have had 4 pens I think and scored 3. Vokes scored at Doncaster (2-0) and Forest (1-1) while Ings scored 1 (2-0 v QPR) and missed 1 (3-1 v Millwall).
Fox Ulike Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 His writing is worse than his commentary. Yeah his writing is awful ("Let’s scratch briefly beneath the surface.") But it's way better than his interviewing technique. But let's briefly be fair: I actually think he's really good as a commentator and radio presenter...

5waller5 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Amazing. The guy writes and presents like an ambitious 15 year old.
indierich06 Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Amazing. The guy writes and presents like an ambitious 15 year old. It's like he's won a competition on Blue Peter or something.
Jon the Hat Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Cute picture of foxes. Was there something else of note on the page?
DennisNedry Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Why are insults and abuse seen as acceptable on internet forums?
Spiritwalker Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think vardy will get another 10 goals this season and be the championships highest goal scorer 66-1 not a bad bet.
Fox Ulike Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Amazing. The guy writes and presents like an ambitious 15 year old. I think most 15 year olds would be mortally offended by that. "If it’s tackling from the front then Vardy and Nugent are your men" It reads like it's been through Google translator from Malaysian to English.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I like stringer and I think some of the criticism he gets on here is harsh He is not a writer he is a broadcaster
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Nugent/Vardy or Ings/Vokes? Hmmm. I'll make a decision when I find out who makes the best sandwiches.
