Would you take 2nd?

I'd start a poll but unfortunately I'm on my phone so will have to be a normal thread - if we were offered 2nd place now, would anybody take it? For me, I'd say no because I'm confident we'll go on to win the league but just wondered what others thought

I'd take second over third but first over second. Kinda obvious really. We'll finish top and easily imo. Said so for weeks now.

For the purposes of promotion, yes.

For the position we are in, and have found ourselves in for a considerable amount of time, no.

Before the start of the season yes.

As that is where I thought we would finish and Bolton 1st!  lol

But since December time it has been Numero 1 because we are a million miles the best team in the league  :D

You'd have no choice but why would Pearson or the players dream of reducing their momentum?

Pearson's aim will have been to see us through to promotion without the risk of play-offs involvement and he and the staff will be focused on simply amassing as many points as possible in seeing that end achieved as quickly as they can.

Yes, they'll be viewing the gap between first and third and taking heart when it increases but if we're top by seven points now the only aim will be to keep working on improving that margin still further. It wouldn't even enter their heads to accept second place.

Not now.

We really should go on to take the title.

This could be a springboard for next season.

We could start off with a winning "we are champions" mentality.

Always worth a point or two in my book.

Am I right in saying that if we atleast equal Derby or QPR's results then promotion will be guaranteed by the Sheffield Wed game. Obviously if we better these results then it'll happen sooner.
