MooseBreath Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Don't be a prat. They are not common, certainly not at this stage of the season in a situation similar to this. It is also not going to happen, last season doesn't make a shred of difference. We're not talking about a promotion chasing team collapsing here, we're talking about the best team in the division by quite a way losing to a load of poor sides, and average teams going on runs that have been well beyond them all season. I'm not sure why you take so much pleasure in being the odd one out, it's not clever and it doesn't make you look intelligent. QPR are the third best team in the championship so far this season, well above "average". Collapses have occured to other teams in similar positions to ours and they will occur again. We are not immune from it any more than anyone else. That's all I'm saying. Just plain and simple facts.
hackneyfox Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Are we worrying about us drawing 2 on the trot or QPR winning 2 on the trot? Neither events being regular occurrences over the last 10 games. I've accepted we're unlikely to beat Readings 106 points, and I'm a bit worried about the title, I just don't see QPR even getting close.
Guest Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 This isn't the premier league, it's the championship and qpr are third on merit. They are well capable of putting together a tidy run. It doesn't take balls to pretend not to remember the calamity that was our collapse last season, it just takes blinkers. I reckon we'll get promoted but only a fool would say we're already there. This is football we're talking about. A huge part of the reason why the sport still exists and is so popular is because seemingly unlikely things happen all the time. What a doom merchant. The top team in the league are going to have an incredible turnaround of form and a poorer team are going to do what no other championsip team has done in at least a decade. I'm happy to say. WE'RE ALREADY THERE!
kingcarr21 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Im not worried at all cause i have faith in us getting the job done. Best team in the league (only just ahead of Burnley). Just take each game as it comes. Bring on Burnley.
kingcarr21 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 QPR do have some tough games coming up with bournemouth away (in good form and still outside chance of play offs) and blackburn away (same as bournemouth)so wouldnt be surprised if they drop points. They also have millwall and barnsley at home which if they pick up in form they could still be fighting for survival. If not then they will still want to spoil QPR promotion bid if (heaven forbid) they were in with a shout of autos in the last 2 games. I reckon us,Burnley and Qpr are going to drop points at some point in the remaining fixtures and ours and Burnleys points are just too much for the chasing pack.
Carl the Llama Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 My only concern now is making sure we finish above Burnley. Anything else can only be classed as a severe **** up on our part.
iancognito Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 The thing with last season's plummeting form was that it didn't come off the back of a 3 month unbeaten run. We'd won a few but were nowhere near as consistent and dominant as this season. It could happen, yes, but the odds are minute, less than 1000-1. I could get knockled down by a bus tomorrow but there's a greater chance I won't so I don't sit up all night worrying about it
weller54 Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 We beat qpr and it's promotion guaranteed.. Simples!!!!
biggs Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 12 pts max req'd...... that's it, and that's only if QPR win 8 straight..... i like those odds
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 QPR win today and they will be 'concerning' Burnley..
Guest Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 QPR win today and they will be 'concerning' Burnley.. Are they still concerning you Col?
Carl the Llama Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 My only concern now is making sure we finish above Burnley. Anything else can only be classed as a severe **** up on our part. I retract that statement. I have no concerns.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 They may be of concern to Burnley, but to us, I think not. Sorry 'Arry.
