Guest MattP Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Yeah I liked Rothley. I love the convenience of town because I don't drive but I otherwise miss village life. Quite like Glenfield as well, to be fair. I went Longslade so had a few mates from that way. My old man lives up Brantings now. Oh and Liz Kendal is dreadful. Would imagine I'd know and see a lot of people you went to school with then around the village, I went to Brookvale and Groby but most of the mates went to Anstey/Longslade. Brantings is lovely, used to be a decent pub as well, had some great nights in the summer in that place.
Finnegan Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Flat as a pancake now! Was stunned when I rocked up at crimbo to see a pile of bricks!
ADK Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I can't say I agree with anyone all the time but certain posters tend to wind me up with some of their views (although that is probably their aim).
Webbo Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I'm pretty sure Purpleronnie and Finners would agree with me most of the time, not that they'd admit it.
Guest MattP Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I'm pretty sure Purpleronnie and Finners would agree with me most of the time, not that they'd admit it.# You just know Purpleronnie is one of these guys who goes into the polling booth and ticks Tory whilst pretending to ignore it himself, he's got a few quid and despite what he says he knows wants to keep it. The he wanders back to his Tory controlled council in the countryside shaking his head about "right wingers" whilst ringing up his Jewish tailor in Golders Green to see his new fitting is ready. We all know it.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Davie G... the voice of reason Mr Gibson is a legend, but he very rarely gets off his very comfortable fence.
Babylon Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Mr Gibson is a legend, but he very rarely gets off his very comfortable fence. Probably why I agree with him then!
Guest Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 We have and it is, nice guy and does actually reply personally to any emails you send him which is what I expect of a MP. Let's be honest we're not blesses with brilliant MP's here, can you imagine having someone like Liz Kendall representing you or having had "Peado Patricia"? I'll see him in the summer as well as I'm playing petangue full time for my local and he plays for one of the teams in our division. Towards Kirby Muxloe end of Glenfield. Rothley is lovely, still go to the chippy a lot of Saturdays in the summer. Petanque?
davieG Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Mr Gibson is a legend, but he very rarely gets off his very comfortable fence. Tis true but that's because I'm tired of arguing about the same old issues we get on here I was once renowned for being annoyingly argumentative
Unabomber Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Am I wasting my time on here? I like you pal, I just can't agree with much you post as you seem to be ballin and I'm not.
Merging Cultures Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I like you pal. Thanks Una! The comment was really a laugh at the guy who had started a thread about wasting his time as no one was quoting him. Is he still here? Anyone check the obits?!
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 On footballing matters, I've always found myself agreeing with Fox 92 most of the time. It used to be Dan LCFC but he's gone downhill IMO. Haydos and Corky are usually pretty correct on football stuff too. On non-footballing stuff I like Webbo. My favourite poster overall has become Captain Pancake. Surprisingly maybe, but I think he's made some top posts over recent months.
MPH Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 There are a few posters in here i have an intense love for, but it would cause too many awkward moments to reveal who in public. Message me if you want to know* *TheBigJohnSteader - Bugger off!
The People's Hero Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 There must be nothing more dull than being 'agreeable'
MPH Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 There must be nothing more dull than being 'agreeable' I agree!
Webbo Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 I'm not going to mention anyone because I don't want to single out individuals, there are lots of people on here whose views I like to read, even those I disagree with. Thank you to those people who have mentioned me, I genuinely appreciate it.
Stadt Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Alf is a very good poster, I hardly ever agree with what he puts but he he writes fantastically well and graciously without resorting to name calling or whatever. Oh yeah, pSinatra is a top poster
Voll Blau Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Can't really put the lads I know in real life as well. Never seem to disagree with Alf on anything though. Get the feeling I'd get on well with Unabomber, Haydos or MattP if I met them in a pub.

Well I already met MattP in a pub and we had a great time, so we should all meet after the QPR game or something.
