LCFCDanny Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Well, this is my recording of his freekick tonight from the family stand, definitely worth a watch with the view and the angle! I wouldn't say the performance was quality tonight, but definitely a top side to play average and get 3 points!
Narborough_fox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Kirkland's positioning is absolutely woeful. Still a cracking finish
ScouseFox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 the goalkeeping gets worse every time you see it. if knocky did that in training he'd probably find it harder to bend and dip it past one of them plastic men they use in goal sometimes. kirkland is a joker.
Nick Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 He'll just be pleased that Nigel kissed him at the final whistle.

Can't believe how central he is of what he's hoping to gain by being three yards off his line. His dive is abysmal as well, can't believe he has an England cap. Still you can't fault the free kick it would of found it's way past better keepers, but it's stoppable.

Nalis Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 As echoed, decent free kick made better by some questionable positioning from Kirkland...
VLC86 Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Kirkland's positioning is absolutely woeful. Still a cracking finish Couldn't agree more. I said to my mate 'I'd be going for that right hand corner here' seconds before he smashed it in. Great goal, shit keeper
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Should take nothing away from Knockaert by the way, he's clearly picked up on where Kirkland is and while he could of attempted to hit an unstoppable free kick he's just done what was required and made it look easy.
Unabomber Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 We all know that if Kirkland had been wearing his trusty cap we wouldn't be discussing a goal here.
veezeeblue Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 didnt anybody see the little peek that Knocky gave at the right corner, Kirkland imediately plants his left foot to go left the Knocky curls it to his right, Knocky left him flatfooted, - touch of clever class from knocy, GK was fooled, you see it best in lcfcdannys video

Itsthejoeker Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 It's that cheeky little look that drags the defender to the post distracting Kirkland. Absolute hero
Babylon Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 It looks like shit keeping, but that is one hell of a strike to be honest, up and down from that distance!
Guest Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 We all know that if Kirkland had been wearing his trusty cap we wouldn't be discussing a goal here. True story. It was the light of a thousand mobile phones that was putting him off
Les-TA-Jon Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Good delivery and capitalisation of poor keeping from Knocky. Useful mischief from his peek round the wall and Nugent running backwards towards Kirkland. But any goalkeeper in the right position would have caught it easy.
Dickov22 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I love him. He clearly loves playing here and is so desperate to do well. You can forgive the times he loses the ball because he's literally everywhere. Improved so much defensively too. What a player

What a player It beggars belief that some of the numpties on here used to call him arrogant. There is no player less arrogant than Knocky IMO. He clearly loves the club and has a special r/ship with the fans.

Not afraid to have a go and really skilful too. Exciting to think of these two in the prem next season. Both so young also
