Finnegan Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Can't believe how central he is of what he's hoping to gain by being three yards off his line. His dive is abysmal as well, can't believe he has an England cap. Still you can't fault the free kick it would of found it's way past better keepers, but it's stoppable. He's hardly going to stand bang on his right hand post and let Knockaert curl it deftly over the wall though is he? Obviously the wall is there for a reason and you compensate as a goalkeeper by covering where they can't but he can't go much further without leaving himself completely prone.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Confident in his own ability and why shouldn't he be. Mahrez seems a similar character. Not afraid to have a go and really skilful too. Exciting to think of these two in the prem next season. Both so young also What I've been trying to say (though it seems to fall on deaf ears), is give them both time. The Prem IS a big step-up from the Championship. Just because both Knocky and Mahrez have had time on the ball, space and a strong team around them this season to shine (and sometimes shine big), next season will be much tougher. They are young lads and I'd hate for them to start to struggle next season and the fans get on their backs. They may be fine. If so, great. But it could well take some time for them to adjust (along with many in the squad). Rather than claiming them to be 'class' (they both are at THIS level), I'm waiting to see how they play next season before making such a claim.
Munshi Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think we need another angle of his goal to be honest.
shade Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think we need another angle of his goal to be honest. anyone got a birds eye view, or one from knockaerts eyes?
dynamark Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Im giving Nug a lot of credit he spotted the defender dropping back and dropped off in front of Kirkland which just brought him a pace further forward to react to Nug. Im hoping they watch that and try it again. Good clips guys thanks

Excuse the excitement.
Babylon Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Well, this is my recording of his freekick tonight from the family stand, definitely worth a watch with the view and the angle! I wouldn't say the performance was quality tonight, but definitely a top side to play average and get 3 points! What kind of camera you got to be getting such a good picture from that distance?!?!
Kitchandro Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7DxRVPRq2M WHO NEEDS RONALDO????

One thing to bear in mind though, particularly with Knocky, is that the defenders won't be doubling up on him in the prem. Near enough every team sticks 2 men on him at a time and you can't really afford to do that in the Premiership as every team at that level has several players capable of inflicting damage. I'd be pretty confident that they'll both make the step up but obviously they'll blow hot and cold a lot next season.

TJB-fox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Why did he celebrate in that manner in front of Gray?
Ric Flair Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Why did he celebrate in that manner in front of Gray? Ran over to his wife in the crowd I suspect
mikey54 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I understand several of his family were in the stand - Nothing to do with Gray himself
Renart Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I think we need another angle of his goal to be honest. Wasn't going to but as you asked so nicely...
MrSpaM Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Scored the goal that got us promoted! Well done Knocky!
ImBlue Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 I look back at his tears at watford as all worth it and the making of the player
Super_horns Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Sort of ironic he gets the goal to seal promotion (as such) considering the events of last season.. Well done to him for bouncing back and congratulations generally.
