MGLCFC Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 So sorry to hear the loss of life at the game on Tuesday. You don't expect to go to a place where you've ben given so much pleasure, never to return home. To all of Roger's family and friends may he rest in peace and that before he tragically passed away his beloved Leicester had made him a happy man this year. I'm hopeful the club will do something and that 30000 Leicester fans will show their respects at the next home game.
Dan Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Horrible story this. Rest in peace. The one thing I will say - at least one of the last things he got to see was his team promoted.
iancognito Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Got diverted round the concourse by the stewards myself and saw a lot of concern on people's faces. Very sad news and thoughts go out to Roger's family. A minute's silence in this case is probably more appropriate and respectful than the applause - he was one of our own after all - but that should be a decision for his loved ones, whichever they'd prefer. RIP Roger.

RIP Roger. I think it depends on the type of person he was and the preference of his family. Personally if it was me, and in a footballing environment, I would prefer applause. Either way, I hope the club do something. Good to see De Laet getting involved aswell.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Bless you Roger, may you rest in peace. Life is for living and we must celebrate everyday as it comes at us, I guess Roger passed away doing just that, working hard and playing hard supporting the team he loved.
linemakers Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 If the club don't do any thing or even if they do, how about us fans standing up and giving a minutes round of applause on the 70th minute. At the QPR game RIP Roger thoughts go out to your family as well

January19th1974 Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 As I walked past Roger on the floor being attended to, I quietly said to myself "keep fighting buddy". I knew then that it could have been anyone of us there. The dedication and professionalism of the medical staff gave him every hope that he would survive. Sadly this was not to be. We are 'one' Leicester City family. We all feel the loss. RIP.
