Perspective - RIP Roger Evans

Recommended Posts

I'm not talking about a football context unfortunately. Before the game in the concourse around J3, paramedics and St Johns Ambulance were performing resuscitation on somebody who then got taken away in an ambulance while still trying to be revived. Here's hoping that whoever the City fan is, that they pull through. Puts all of the petty arguments about support etc. in perspective.

If anybody knows who this is or has any news, any updates would be appreciated.

Seen it. Poor bloke. Was devastating. Hope he's pulled through.

Absolutely.

I was in that block and St Johns were going mental. I didn't see what happened but I hope the lad is okay  :(

Didn't hear anything about this until now. I hope he pulls through..it would be good of the club to keep us informed when and if they know anything, I know we'd like to know, we're a good bunch, we bicker and fight but ultimately we're all together!

Wow, shocking. RIP.

I did actually notice some paramedics running up the steps around KO time looking over to the East Stand but thought nothing of it until I saw this thread.

This is very sad and and shocking news to hear. My thoughts are with his family and friends, who are most likely going through a very difficult time. I really do hope no body feels bad about moaning about the result etc because you did not know. Now it is time to stop moaning and for every one to get together and support the family in their time of need. No more arguing and fighting. RIP.

Anybody know what happened? Was it a heart attack?

I think it was. The guy was collapsed on the floor and paramedics were really working at his heart for a good few minutes before he was rushed out to the ambulance.

Was very close when it happened, been hoping all day that he'd be ok. It didn't really matter what happened in the game after I'd seen that.

Really sad if the latest news is correct. RIP mate. Blue Army!

That's very sad to hear if he has passed away. Thoughts very much with his friends and family, witnessing it really made the football pale into insignificance yesterday :(.

Saddening news, it's already been said but it does make all of these petty arguments pointless, we're all Leicester fans and sadly one of our own passed away yesterday, seemingly unnoticed.

Condolences to his family and on behalf of all Leicester fans, RIP.

As I walked through the turnstiles I had stewards pointing me to go around, naturally I looked through them and saw a man having CPR performed on him, I instantly turned around. Had to walk around the back of the stewards to get to the stairs and glanced over again to see paramedics working hard on him. I looked at the faces of those around me, some looked like they cared, some didn't - it was very strange. Some people were looking on from the stair's balcony which was slightly disturbing. I got to my seat and my eyes filled up, didn't care about the football from there on.

I hope he is okay but from what I hear he was worked on for a good 10mins before being taken to hospital. God rest his soul, come on Leicester!

Exactly the same as this, was just about to go into the stadium when they were rushing the poor bloke out on a stretcher pumping his chest.

I really couldn't believe what I was seeing and was still shocked when I got to my seat.

Does anyone know how old he was?

RIP and condolences to his friends and family if the worst has happened.

I think about 50 or so. Not quite sure though.
