Tom's Pasta Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 After seeing some careful scouting for the likes of knockaert and mahrez, him and his backroom team seem to be very thorough when it comes to signing new players. Has he actually made what you could call a 'bad signing'?
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Yes of course. You could put together a "worst XI" of signings by any manager and it would look appalling. It's what the "best XI" looks like though, that's how you will be judged and fortunately for us, Big NIge has nailed that.
Kitchandro Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Bakayogo? Harry Kane on loan does that melt count? Ryan McGivern. Yep, yep, yep. Hammond as well. I thought Michael Keane was pretty poor. He is good in the transfer market but seems to have one anomaly every season.
Fox92 Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Yes he has. But on the other hand, which manager doesn't.
Kitchandro Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Jesse Lingard? At the time, yes, bizarre signing. Having said that he's done ok since. Kermo? Similar to above, shite for us but now we can see what Nigel saw in him.
Unabomber Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 At least most of his bad signings didn't affect us too much financially, especially when you compare Sven's bad signings.
Guest MattP Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Yep, yep, yep. Hammond as well. I thought Michael Keane was pretty poor. He is good in the transfer market but seems to have one anomaly every season. Sanago next year. You heard it here first.
Jace Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 When you think about it, Kermo was actually decent! Just not for us.
Brooksy Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 To be fair Harry Kane's doing alright at the moment, starting for Spurs are has scored in his last couple of games.
Vossen Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 He tried to sign my crisp packet once...well that really was a bad signing...
RonnieTodger Posted 15 April 2014 Posted 15 April 2014 Astrit Ajdarevic? Was just about to mention this. Bizarre one. Also, N'Guessan when he was really the man that booted Gradel out of the team.
Tom's Pasta Posted 15 April 2014 Author Posted 15 April 2014 Yeah there's a few good shouts from you. But I certainly can't think of any really shocking ones. I did think of Bakayogo but he was only meant as a back up anyway. I like Hammond even though he gets slated by loads of fans, he's not a drinkwater or james but he's good at doing the ugly stuff which gives a good balance in the CM position. Kennedy wasn't great but we were in league 1 back then so the standards have changed since then.
