Agent Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 So were the players still clapping the fans when you invaded? I couldn't work it out, was great to see that video with Nigel Pearson though! They were posing for pictures, Pearson was buzzing.
Collo73 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Agent fox... Spot on pal. No trouble was wanted by any of us and like you said we just wanted that little bit more than standing clapping from afar. For me personally it rounded of a great away day and an amazing season. Proud of the boys and quality away fans
Unabomber Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 They were posing for pictures, Pearson was buzzing. Fuck I'm so jealous. Someone tell me what this pitch invasion was for? To get on the pitch.
Collo73 Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Stan... Does there have to be a reason?? And for once it wasn't planned!! Spur of the moment and it was to celebrate a fantastic season in a different way. Great day, one of the best away days
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Stan... Does there have to be a reason?? And for once it wasn't planned!! Spur of the moment and it was to celebrate a fantastic season in a different way. Great day, one of the best away days Odd that on the one occasion it wasn't planned it comes off........ What have we all learnt here?
LCFC FOX Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 We still probably wouldn't of done it without the Huddersfield fans doing it first, they showed us how to do it if we ever want to do it at home
LCFCDanny Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Guys. Watch my video! You see them run on then run off as we break on! Everything is so clear!
Matt Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 And everyone is over this 'walking on the grass' fad now right? Nah, need to do it at home now too, even if it is to stick two fingers up at the Police, stewards, whoever enforces such pathetic killjoying charades at our club. Was great today, I said to someone who slagged off the last home game before it has even happened the other day by saying 'It is what you make of it' if you want it to be dull it will be dull, if you celebrate it how you want to and enjoy it then it will be great, to some extent whilst I have celebrated our promotion and winning the league I felt I hadn't fully, today I did, was fucking great on the pitch. Just hope it happens again next week.
Jace Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Watching those Huddersfield fans run off like a flock of wild animals in unison together is 1 of the hilarious things I have seen this season, I take back all my disproval of pitch invasions this season well done everyone involved
Carl the Llama Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Watching those Huddersfield fans run off like a flock of wild animals in unison together is 1 of the hilarious things I have seen this season Benton! Benton!
KFS Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Just a couple of things: No children were harmed, that's bollocks. The ginger **** goading our lads should have been harmed though, if we're advocating it. I watched him from the 50th minute where the stewards ejected his pals and he just wouldn't leave. When the classic 'cheerio' went up, it really wound him up, so he proceeded to run along the steward line flicking the vs etc. He was gone in a flash when our lot got on. The invasion wasn't malicious. The majority of their lot were clapping us and bouncing up and down. What seemed to incinuate the rush was the players coming over. Hence why the whole pitch wasn't covered, just the corner. It was all very harmless. The only thing really that someone could've taken offence to was the fact that the lads didn't come over to clap the fans home as usual as a result. That was something that my Dad's uncle was unimpressed by, I think the traditionalists missed out. The Huddersfield lot helped because the police contingency plan was non-existent. I'm interested in watching things unfold like today, so I kept looking for anything out of the ordinary. One thing of note was the stocky steward who had obviously been watching too much Cass. He clearly forgot about what he is actually entitled to do as a steward.

Agent Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 We still probably wouldn't of done it without the Huddersfield fans doing it first, they showed us how to do it if we ever want to do it at home They didn't have 3 rows of security trying to stop them...
Jace Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Benton! Benton! Lmao heres a video of Huddersfield fans on a day out in Richmond Park
Kitchandro Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Nah, need to do it at home now too, even if it is to stick two fingers up at the Police, stewards, whoever enforces such pathetic killjoying charades at our club. Agreed, that was a proper celebration today, it made up for what was, if we're honest, a bit of an anti climax when we got promoted. Today was all about fun and that's what going to the football should be about.
Kitchandro Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 They didn't have 3 rows of security trying to stop them... Yeh that's true, people got on the pitch today because the stewards did not do their best to stop them. Their was a bit of an attempt but they didn't have the weight of numbers. It would have interesting to see what would have happened had we got promoted at home, but I'd suspect that the amount of police would have outweighed the people wanting to go on. Or, who knows, the euphoria of the occasion may have been enough for everyone to pile on.
Terrier7119 Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 First of all congratulations from a Hudds fan. You deserve the title , you've had a great season. With regards to the pitch invasion, its an end of season thing we do, the kids are always on first , then the older guys 40s (That's me) manage to plod on. There is never any goading of away fans (Maybe some do) . When I got on the pitch with my mate we headed towards your guys to applaud you as you deserve the title. When I got past the half way line I was surprised to see our lot running towards me. Didn't know what was happening so I continued towards you , I felt you guys deserved a clap and I did so , I exchanged a few handshakes with 2 or 3 of your supporters and thought it was good. Sadly as I walked back to my seat a few coppers decided to get their truncheons out (oo err missus) which I thought was OTT, I never saw any trouble. Special mention to the two lads who were looking for a "paki" shop and asked us 10 yards away from one. Sound lads and we had a little chat in the shop, Thought your fans were quality and you made some right noise. Anyway good luck in the premiership hope you do well and maybe one day we will get to the promised land. All the best Dave
Guest MattP Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 ****ing brilliant. Felt old school today for the first time in a while. No excuses next week. Same again, don't give a ****, get on. To do an away invasion when they are already on takes balls.
