demon_dog Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Upon our departure from the FL what memories do we have from the years of playing in this and the division below. For me it has to be the ignominy of us dropping to the lower tier for the first time in our history. The best part about this though was seeing the boat on ft being bailed out by Mandaric anb Holloway. Classic British humour.
Fox92 Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Steve Howard hattrick at the Hawthorns. Yeah it was during the 07/08 season but that was a great day! I think everyone expected us to lose.
StanSP Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 This season is definitely a memory which will stand out the most. Over 10 or so years though, you're bound to get a whole plethora of memories, some which will have been forgotten until someone mentions it. I'm sure something good must have happened in 2006 for example despite finishing in a low position. Beating Derby countless times over the years (usually 4 goals scored) has been a joy to watch. Beating West Brom 4-1 with a Steve Howard hat-trick. Gallagher scoring a 35/40-yard lob vs Palace. Gallagher scoring a backwards header vs Scunthorpe. Steam-rolling League One (as expected). Getting Pearson back in for a 2nd time. Naughton vs Barnsley/Doncaster (?) with that thunderbolt from about 30 yards. Steve Howard vs Leeds 90th minute bullet header. Max Gradel free-kick 2-2 vs MK Dons. And that seriously is just a handful. Despite overall it not being the greatest 10 years of the club's history, there are so many individual, isolated moments which have sent us through the roof.
Kitchandro Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 In this league - beating Forest 3-0 in 09/10 and then 3-2 last season
Bayfox Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 This season and our l1 season followed by an unlikely play-off push have almost erased the memories of rob kelly, hollowhead and CL if I'm honest. I'll take that. Been a pleasure nigel.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Gallagher's double vs Palace for Pearson's first game back in charge. Knockaert's goal vs Watford. Gudjonsson from the halfway line. Knocky vs Huddersfield last season.
Jakemoore Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Steve Howard's goal against Leeds in the last minute during the League 1 season, I went absolutely mental!

Babylon Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 We'll be back at some point... peaks and troughs, peaks and troughs.
whetstonefox Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 2004- 2007, just a blur of nothingness with the odd highlight. Spurs, the win at barnsley the season we did stay up! The madness of Milán in 07/08 and all those bloody managers, singing 'ginger morinho' at sheff weds that season in salute of megson!!! To be fair the last 6 years have been pretty crazy highs and lows(but not as bad as Josh low!) Roll on the next installment of the leicester city roller coaster!
Jakemoore Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Funny chant memory "you twat" chant the other night at Reading was hilarious! Followed by the celebration as if we had scored!
MC Prussian Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 The post-match pictures after that terrible 0-0 draw with Stoke. Four to five terribly mediocre years following relegation from the Premier League. Steve Howard's header against Leeds in League One. Going to Edgar Street and enjoying a throwback to the 70ies.
DB11 Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Celebrating like we'd won the league back when we were fighting relegation and a last minute Nils Eric Johansson goal to gain a win at Preston away seemed epic Leicester: Logan, Stearman, Kisnorbo, McAuley (Horsfield 67), Johansson, Newton, Hughes, Wesolowski, Mattock, Fryatt (Cadamarteri 61), Hume.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Gudjonsson from the halfway line. Oh my god, this. That was incredible.

I was there that day and I really did feel on top of the world after that. Such low expectations at that time.
Gary Eatfood Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 The away game at Cardiff in the play-offs. Despite eventually losing that was one of my proudest nights as a City fan.
sylofox Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 The Wood goal at watford one hungry player one cokky twohat result 1-0 yesssssss yes we have scored better but that to me sums up our season. Hunger Fight and we can't be beaten spirit. Then the topper Knocky same game if ever a goal was deserved and written in stone that was it. A real up your's twohat goal if ever there was one.
Agent Fox Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 The Levein era Milan Mandaric era Ian Holloway catastrophe League One stroll in the park Playoff heartache Dicking the Championship
JJS84 Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Ipswich away which was more like Hoth Guffawed out loud at hoth! Had forgot about that game. Though do remember vitor's slip.
Lettsy Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I have enjoyed the maintaining of taking 6 picks of Derby every season and scoring 4 in at least one of the matches. Hopefully they'll come up with us so that's 6 points again next season already.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Cardiff away in the playoff was the best and worst game I've ever been to, must have been amazing for a neutral
Buzzell Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Big Steve Howard's absolute bullet of a header against Leeds in the dying minutes of the match in League One!
